An absolutely fantastic stay! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, the room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable for the value and the location was perfect for exploring the city. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

The staff was very friendly. There was no breakfast, but it is two short blocks away from the upscale Kipselis restaurant area. I always walked the km from the metro station, but there is also a bus stop a block away. Not a noisy area.

A comfortable room in a residential part of Athens

Complementary breakfast was not provided. The room was always spotless, clean and fresh. Although this is in a local, residential neighborhood that may seem gritty initially, it is actually a thriving, pulsating area of the city with plenty of clothing, cafe, supermarket and dining options. The staff at the hotel were all lovely and pleasant.

Reception staff are very nice, kind, kmowledgeable, informative, quick to respond and respectful. We arrive too early and they accomodated us even it is not time to check in when they saw us too tired from our trip. Room is very clean and sorroundings although it is outdated, everything you need is there esp it is close to everything like metro, restaurants, banks, groceries & more. Overall excellent and saved some money. Excellent for the price.

Around the Hotel are many shops,restaurants and supermarkets. It's across a policestation and seems quite safe. Theres someone at the reception 24/7 which was amazing for us, as we had to check out around 4AM due to our early flight. The people working there were all very nice and helpful! Sadly our hair dryer in the room didn't work, there were strangers hair beneath the sheets, and I think a bit of mold on the bathroom ceiling (it does seem like an older building and I think the ventilation in the bathroom didn't really do much anymore) and the bed was much smaller than we thought. For Friends traveling together good to know: the bathroom is not really an own room. Theres a glass wall and a door you can't lock. Our stay there was still good, the air conditioner worked, which was important to us. We felt safe and since we really only slept there, all the con points didn't really bother us.

We had an okay stay at Semeli Hotel. The workers were friendly and helpful. The wifi was very interrupted and the location was a bit average. But overall good value because the price was cheap so no complaints 🙏

The Semeli was what we needed since it had a 24 hour desk. The staff was very good at answering questions and helping with transportation. The hotel is much nicer than the street it is on which is cluttered with dysfunctional scooters. Despite the appearance, there is a police station across the street so it is safe. The room was nice and you have maid service every day. The only disappointment at the Semeli was that the mattress was uncomfortable.

The wifi did not work which is absolutely key when traveling. The knob on the bathroom door was open so we could not fully close the bathroom door. I was traveling with a new girlfriend and this was bad. The staff is friendly and professional but the wifi and facilities were not working. Rooms were clean and spacious

Hotel is family run and everyone was very very helpful from travel tips to where to eat. The whole of Athens is full of tired buildings and graffiti, it’s not limited to this area. I’d read earlier reviews about safety however it’s opposite a police station and the biggest reviews tell you not to go to places that are unlit etc we didn’t feel unsafe at all as we kept to the main streets. I travelled back alone from a concert and felt fine. Tip download the Freenow taxi app you see what the trip will cost and can book in advance for local trips. It’s also worth using the hotels pick up airport service because despite what it says on general sites about a flat rate from the airport that’s not the case and many people from the airport had a different experience and different rates that you felt you didn’t have a choice but to pay so use the hotels service we used it going back and it’s an agreed rate arrived in plenty of time and was great. It’s a budget hotel however for somewhere in Athens out of the main city I think it’s a good option for those on a city break. You couldn’t ask for more helpful staff. The local restaurants are local! Meaning that they don’t display menus and hassle you inside and all the locals eat there which is always a good sign. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Must try is the cake shop nearby Max Perry unbelievable cakes and ice cream and for small cakes literally a few euros for cake heaven! Great few days thank you.

It was relatively clean and the air conditioner cooled well. The location was good. But the equipment was old. The worst part was that there was no power outlet! Only the refrigerator, air conditioner and TV were connected to the electricity, and one of the devices had to be disconnected to charge the mobile phone or laptop!

Very difficult parking around the area. Narrow roads. Opposite a police station, so the one way entrance to the road is permanently blocked and very difficult to get around. I’m street-wise, so ok the walk around, but I wouldn’t recommended any ladies to walk around st night. During the day it’s safe. Hotel staff, especially George, is friendly. Hotel room decor is below par. Skanky carpet, shower head was blocked, toilet seat was unattached- if it were my hotel I’d spend a coupe of thousand pounds doing the room up. Would I stay there..? For the price, it’s ok. But if you’re into cleanliness, I wouldn’t. Hotel is local to a fantastic location in terms of coffee shops, so every morning I would go there and have a coffee.
