A great location, just a few minutes from the metro and fairly close to all the main sights in Athens. It’s near lots of restaurants, and despite the look of the area, it felt very safe (solo female traveller). The bed was comfortable, the water hot, and the room was very spacious. The staff were quick to respond to any question too! The only downside- a few mosquitos in my room as the window was left open before I checked in. Otherwise it was great!
Beautiful apartment situated away from the busy streets. Amazing location, easy to walk to main sites and restaurants. Apartment is clean, modern and spacious with hosts reachable via whatsapp.
Everyone who worked there was so kind and accommodating. My best experience with the staff so far in all four islands I visited in Greece ! Petros was awesome too! Thank you everyone !
The apartment was really spacious and clean. The location was absolutely perfect. It is in a quiet street, so you can get a good sleep. And in just 1 minute walk you are in the hustle of the city with a lot of good restaurants and shops. Also the metro is really close. This appartement was really perfect for us. I can absolutely recommend this!
The room itself was very nice and very clean, good amenities. Walking distance to many places. My only complaint was that we had a hard time finding it as it was just a black gated door amongst empty buildings. Instructions for check in were a little confusing (and very last minute). I would stay again but for these reason I cannot give it a higher score.
Filia Place was an excellent place to stay while we spent five days in Athens. Check in was a little weird and difficult as we kept getting messages from Fila Place through Travelocity's message center asking for _______/________ so they could send us the check in door codes and didn't under stand what they were asking for because of the censored blanks, Finally we figured out through their website they wanted a What's App number and registered and contacted them. All went smooth after that. The street Filia Place is on is the very edge of the up and coming outer edge of the Monastriaki district. The inside of the apartment is modern European design while the outside of the building is a work in progress. The street itself is a mix of modern updated properties and buildings under renovation as of August 2024. The apartment we stayed in was very nice. Very nice restaurants with garden and open dining within a hundred meters and a 10 minute walk from Monastriaki Square at the base of the Acropolis. Positives - Good value, clean, good location. Negatives - you need to register on What's App to check in but not too big of a deal. The other negative was every single street light is out on this street and while walking out to get the cab to the airport to fly home I stepped in a hole in the dark and injured myself and had to deal with the pain of sprained ankle and bloody arm for the 25 hour trip home. A nice place to stay overall though.
Shower non fonctionnal in 2 differents rooms
Very echo in the hall and corridor, when people arrive lately its seems like they are yelling, should have a sign « quiet please »
Poor WIFI
Owner very kind !
Bed confortable
Great emplacement
This is not a hotel. This is an airbnb. People would be aware. The building itself is dirty and gross, but the apartment itself is beautiful and clean. Wasn't given check in info until i asked for it at 3pm
Not recommended. The location is difficult to find, and the lack of proper parking—despite claims of street parking—resulted in a ticket. The room was uncomfortable, featuring an old, poor-quality bed and pillows. The coffee maker was dirty, the bathroom sink was clogged, there were not enough towels, and the Wi-Fi was very slow.
Dont let the outside of the building make you nervous the apartment is wonderfull. Very stylish decorated and spotlessly clean. The downstairs lobby entrance to the building is ugly and the elevator is old and rattles. The outside of building needs a paint job.
One block away is a restaurant district with many great restaurants, cafes and entertainment, but the building is quiet and neighborhood safe. 1000
The homestay itself is decent. However, the communication and the access process is disappointing.
I tried to contact the hotel multiple times weeks before our trip, trying to confirm the best contact method and the access instruction. We knew that we won't be able to make phone calls in Greece. However, the hotel left no way to contact them, except for a local phone number. No email or WhatsApp, even though they host many international guests.
On the day of arrival, we received a very confusing message from the hotel via the hostels.com platform. It says "Please verify your -----------/----------- number". I immediately replied with my phone number, email, and booking information.
After that, there was total radio silence. We called hotels.com, which itself dropped the call a few times. Finally, they were able to connect us with the hotel over the phone. When we were connected, the hotel seemed wholly surprised about their responsibilities to reply to the message. Only at that point, they provided us with the access instruction.
The whole process was deeply confusing and frustrating. It really left a bitter taste for us. If you are booking this property, be very prepared to spend hours calling hotels.com and feeling stranded.
We advise the hotel to message guests and provide an email or Whatsapp as soon as the booking happens, and latest 1 week before the trip, and provide clear instruction on how to contact and to access the property.
