This hotel was adorable! Perfect walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants in Astoria! One thing I LOVED about this place was the selection of old records they had on display! In addition, they let you check out record players to take back to your room so that you can enjoy the records!
We enjoyed the king suite. It was right by the front desk and small lobby and next to the entry stair and had two large windows to the street, so we thought it might be a noisy location, but is was very quiet, we couldn't hear any outside sounds. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable and the hotel location is very convenient.
Great location in center of Astoria. Room spotless, quiet, staff helpful, friendly and professional. Coffee available including quirky little record players with an abundance of LP records to play. Fun. I would stay there again.
The bed in the suite was so comfortable. It’s an older building but that comes with charm. The shared kitchen is unique but they make it work. We loved our stay for one night.
A unique hotel in a great location! We had a queen suite which was a nice size for us. We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent shower and towels. The stairs to the lobby can be challenging if you have mobility problems. We parked on the street for free overnight. I highly recommend the Norblad.
Very unique property and we t
Really enjoyed our stay. The eclectic furnishings and ambiance fits perfectly with the Astoria. The location is excellent for exploring the waterfront and downtown areas.
We love this property! Its quasi european hostel and Mcmenamins style with mostly shared baths and showers, but the location is great, the rooms are clean, the beds and pillows are comfy, and the staff is really the best; from the front desk people to all the cleaning personnel who do a tremendous job cleaning! Love this little motel!
Stayed in Astoria building. Can't imagine anyone had a better view in Astoria than we did.

Liked: Staff & service
The staff were lovely. The main area and shared bathrooms were clean and cozy. Our room had a very strong smell that was incredibly unpleasant unfortunately. It was maybe a mildew smell? Even with the windows open, it was still strong. Great location, awesome staff, neat building, but the smell was not great.
This is a very convenient place to stay in Astoria. Located within walking distance of restaurants, shops, the Riverwalk, and museums. It is very clean and the staff are fantastic! The lobby is located up a flight of stairs, but the staff will help you with your luggage (no elevator). There is no air conditioning and no tv, but there is wifi. We had a room with a private bathroom. This hotel feels like a really nice hostel. They also provide coffee in the morning and use to a kitchen. There is free street parking easily available. I would stay there again.
Friendly helpful staff, compared to other properties, good location and reasonable room for the price. Shared bathroom and shower (single use for each) was not a problem at all.
Basic clean historic hotel. Loved the communal kitchen to store things in the fridge and make coffee. A little loud on the street side in the morning but a nice stay overall.
