Wonderful stay - rooms were clean and inviting. Great views of the mouth of the river. There are indeed sea lions - didn’t mind their barking at all. Food in restaurant was great. Would stay again next time I’m in town. Definitely worth the cost.

Design forward hotel with excellent location in Astoria. Super friendly staff. Great bar with gorgeous views. Elderly/those with disabilities should call ahead because there is no elevator and stairs are needed for at least some of the rooms. It's also not a full service sort of hotel, so no porter/bell help available for bags on the steps.

Picked in part for location and the sauna. Only one of the latter was operative and it wasn't completely successful, but still nice to have. Glad that we weren't nearer the sea lions as I can imagine that would be problematic when they got going in the middle of the night. Staff wonderful. Room was intriguingly compiled. Loved the river view. Would recommend.

Overall, a great place and Astoria is charming. Be prepared for rooms without air conditioning though. The sea lion barking on sure was incredibly and the location makes it walkable to good restaurants. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

The room was nice, great shower pressure, and it was magical to watch the sea lions swim from our balcony. The only downsides - I think you should be able to schedule sauna time rather than hope nobody snags the sauna while you wait for it to heat up. Also, we got room service and the tray sat outside our door for almost 8 hours before someone picked it up

This was one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in! The views from the balcony are absolutely stunning, especially at sunset! Such cute quaint rooms, and a unique feel to this old building that has been converted into stylish hotel rooms! Location is perfect too.

This property is the place to stay in Astoria! We stayed in the Ice House Suite and it was perfection. The staff is so friendly and helpful as well. We will return and stay in the suite again. Just a beautiful property on the Columbia, view of Astoria Bridge and a platform on site for the sea lions to rest if you enjoy sea life. The views were breathtaking!

The Bowline is a consistently excellent experience. Our family visits every year and we always have a wonderful time. The staff is great and the have a unique and tasty menu in their lobby bar. Also, the sea lions are usually hanging around, which our daughter loves!

Great and friendly staff. I used the room service and it was quick and well presented. Amenities are great as well as the toiletries and room coffee and tea. The room itself was sparkling clean and so cozy. It felt like staying on a boat, with panoramic windows of the river. The surrounding area is walkable, but close to a homeless camp.

The staff were so friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were amazing. The hotel was so beautiful. Seeing the sea-lions was a treat to-see. The back patio looking at the water and bridge was memorizing .

We loved our stay at Bowline. We parked the car and didn't have to use it the entire trip because we could walk to everything we wanted to see. We loved seeing the trolley and the sea lions on a daily basis. The saunas on the river are wonderful. The bed was so comfortable. The staff was so friendly. Getting a nightcap with that view at the beautiful bar was perfect. We loved everything!
