Our Juego de Cañas vacation apartments are located in the historic center of Astorga, a city founded by the Romans before the 1st century B.C. and the capital of its region. Since then, it has held a key position in transportation networks in northwestern Spain due to its prime geographical location, where the A6, the Ruta de la Plata, and National Highway 120 converge.
The apartment building is located on the street of the same name, Juego de Cañas, an urban space that remains from the large plaza where, in the Modern Era, equestrian games of this kind were held as entertainment for the citizens, and which was once dominated by the now-vanished castle of the Marquises of Astorga.
Following an arduous renovation process, efforts were made to preserve the original rooms and building materials, something visitors will appreciate as they pass through the entrance and step into the courtyard, which serves as a central hub connecting the four apartments and as a place to relax.
