まさに城と城下町に住む感覚

周囲は何もないイギリスの田園風景の中、貴族の館がそびえています。宿泊は徒歩2分の二階建てメゼネットのコテージ。長期宿泊も可能な設備で、インテリはは英国らしい調度品です。夜明け前の外は澄み切った地平線に日の出が綺麗に見え、朝日を浴びる館周囲はは一気に中世にタイムトラベルします。朝食も素晴らしく、貴族になった雰囲気を味わえます。アシュフォードに来たら是非おすすめです。

The room (lord percy I recall) was very dated, with cracked tiles in the bathroom and no shampoo in the shower, just conditioner and body wash. The toilet seat would not stay lifted, not an issue for me but it was for my boyfriend. The spa was beyond disappointing - the sauna and indoor jacuzzi were out of order which is unacceptable considering the amount you pay to attend the spa for the day. We were never informed thar these facilities weren't working on arrival. I had to try 6 lockers in the changing room before finally gaining assistance from the reception where the lady reset my band. This may sound trivial but considering the calibre of this establishment I would not expect this. Lastly, there was a razor by the outside hydropool which was a health and safety issue more than anything else, I appreciate the spa cannot control what guests bring in and out of the spa but I am surprised this wasn't picked up on the cameras. Marlon in the spa restaurant was the highlight, he truly went above and beyond - shame this wasn't the case throughout the hotel and spa. Although I must mention that there was food splattered up the wall in the corner where we were seated for lunch.

I stayed here as a birthday treat for my partner, however with the amount i paid for the room around £200 i did not expect the last persons hair on the bathroom floor, mould in the shower, a bathtub that doesnt drain, mould around the edges of the bathroom. I asked for a fridge so keep champagne cold and got delivered a broken one, nd when i phone and politley informed them of this i did not get a replacement. Upon leaving i was going to mention all these things but the receptionist was already flustered due to abother couple complaining so i didnt want to add this in too as it is down to whoever hires the cleaning employees not the receptionist. I wouldnt stay here again especially for that money. However the food in the restuaraunt gardenia was amazing and i would dine there again! So maybe just go for a massage and dinner then stay at a nice premier inn.

Unbeknown to me when booking, the hotel is dog friendly, this is not clear on the website. We were allocated a room in the “Mews cottages” and in the room above ours were 2 dogs!! Due to there being a wedding on site of which I suspects the dogs owners were at, the dogs barked loudly everytime anybody came into the building to around 1am when the owners came back. Not anybody’s fault but it could be made clearer on the website that the hotel allows dogs in there accommodation.

Eastwell Manor is simply a stunning property with a beautiful building. We were unable to avail ourselves of any of the spa options, but there are many. We enjoyed our time immensely. Both evenings we dined in the bar, which has an extremely limited menu. If we had one complaint that would probably be the one. The staff was extremely accommodating.

Staff don't listen and are generally unhelpful. The rooms are so noisy - each door for the bedrooms can only be closed loudly so if you are not the last to bed you are woken every time one of half a dozen close rooms return.

There was no running hot water to bath and we were asked to shower in the spa which is quite a distance away so very inconvenient.

Disappointing experience

Sadly didn’t meet expectations, chaotic check-in with 2 1/2 hour delay to get into our room. The room in the mews cottage was ok but in dire need of attention, broken fittings, fraying carpets, cups didn’t fit in the coffee machine etc and dirty linen and food trays left for ages at bottom of stairs. Space in spa was limited so difficult if weather too cold to be outdoors, lockers in changing rooms broken or locks not working. Lovely setting and grounds but whole place badly in need of refurbishment and better management as staff trying their best but obviously stretched.

Disappointing service

Grounds are stunning, room comfortable but couldn’t get WiFi chrome cast to work - frustrating. Service in bar shocking, everyone was complaining. Was given a pizza that did not have correct ingredients on it as per menu, kitchen had decided to improvise due to having run out of ingredients without any communication. Not to be awkward but my son didn’t want a pizza smothered in gherkins as he doesn’t like them. This is not ok, especially if someone were to have allergies! No apology or acceptance of mistake. Distinct absence of customer care. Staff at breakfast good.
