This is a unique mountain home with beautiful private outdoor oasis! The folk architecture style designed and created by the owner is breathtaking. There are cozy, romantic areas throughout. The owner has gone to great lengths to create beauty and character in every room in the house. From the compass rose inlay to the copper trim---there are architectural surprises everywhere you look. The property includes a hot tub, fireplace with gas logs, covered porch, fire pit, gas grill, and beautiful deck with year round view of the mountains. The Escape has a full kitchen stocked with ample equipment needed to prepare gourmet meals, a separate dining room surrounded by glass, and a breakfast nook with a view of the mountains. The bedroom hosts an antique iron queen bed with luxury bedding, and large dressing room. The two full bathrooms are beautiful with granite vanities and walk-in showers. The living room has a full size couch, stress-less recliner, flat screen TV with cable package, sound system, and wireless internet. It is difficult to describe the many details and features in the amazing Escape!
The property is located just minutes away from downtown Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Grove Park Inn, and the Biltmore Estate. Also, there are many nearby outdoor adventure activities: hiking, whitewater rafting, snow and water tubing, zip lining, kayaking, horseback riding, fly fishing, mountain biking, climbing, snow skiing, and waterfall tours.

Spend the day in downtown Asheville dining, tasting our local beers, shopping or people watching.

Great day trips to nearby small towns: Waynesville, Hendersonville, Brevard, Flat Rock, Chimney Rock, Highlands, and Cashiers. Scenic routes to each, with great lunch spots. Enjoy shopping for locally made crafts in the quaint atmosphere of small mountain towns.

For guests who bring their dogs there is a neighborhood green space for fetching just 1/2 mile from the house.

Amazing stay. The dogs loved the yard. Missed the bear but saw one in downtown Asheville. The hot tub was great. Perfect getaway with an easy drive to downtown Asheville.

Great place to stay

This was a perfect home away from home! It was just perfect for my husband and I and our two dogs. They loved the back yard and we loved sitting out in the hot tub looking up at the stars! The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful and the home was clean and had everything we needed.

Great place to relax!

This was a great location. Close to many things, but a nice place to just relax and enjoy the beautiful views. The yard was perfect for our dog. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location and beautiful cottage for visit to Asheville

We had a wonderful stay at our VRBO in Asheville. The property has upscale features and was very clean and comfortable. The dog friendliness was much appreciated and the yard was well-fenced for our relaxation letting the dog off leash in the yard. The property location was just out of town offering convenience for going into town while providing a Quiet, safe, and relaxing respite. We would definitely recommend for any couple looking for a nice stay in Asheville!

Quick Getaway

This property is really nice for a quick getaway. It is tucked back in a residential neighborhood which made for a nice quiet stay. There was an issue with the fireplace and communication with Tammy was quick and everything resolved by the next morning. Would definitely stay here again.

2nd stay—just as fabulous as our first!

After a wonderful stay in March of 2021, I was excited to return at a different time of year. Anytime in Asheville, this is where we’ll stay as I love the yard and being able to bring my pup with me. This yard could not be more secure for pups of all sizes. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The decor inside, landscaping outside, and the views from inside and out are all fabulous! We loved having lazy mornings to just sit outside and soak it all in while we sipped our coffee and Bailey explored the yard.

A gem in Asheville

This was our second time at the cabin and enjoyed it for six days once again. It was clean and well appointed with everything provided in the kitchen. Hot tub was in good condition and much needed after long days. After unpacking we were greeted by two black bears that left as quickly as they arrived. Didn't see any again. This is a perfect home for those wishing to sightsee, hike, or enjoy the downtown only a few miles down the road. We will definitely be back.
