"our stay at this wildernest cabin was everything we hoped for and more. the setting was just the peace were looking for — secluded and private, tucked right into the woods. and from the moment we arrived, it was clear how much heart and intention went into the space. it has that rare, perfect balance of being beautifully designed while still feeling incredibly cozy and lived-in—it truly felt like our home away from home in the middle of the forest. we found the space functional and well stocked with everything we could possibly need and so many 'extras' that made life easier—from the kids' games and the sound machine for a good night's sleep to the cozy robes and various coffee options for a slow mountain morning. the kitchen is also fully loaded with every appliance you could want, and between the indoor setup and the grill, preparing family meals was fun and an absolute breeze. after long, active, adventurous days, the bidet, spa-like showers, hot tub, and exceptionally comfortable beds were such treats and exactly the recharge we needed! what made our trip even more special was ellie. she is a phenomenal host! all of her communication leading up to our stay was so helpful that we arrived feeling completely prepared with zero surprises. during our stay, she was thoughtful about checking in to see if we needed anything or if our experience was meeting our expectations. any minor thing that came up felt like a non-issue because ellie was so quick to respond, fair, accommodating, and just a natural problem-solver. she communicates very clearly too. it’s crystal clear that ellie and drew are detail oriented and genuinely care about their guests having a great experience. they have thought of the many details so that you don’t have to and we appreciated this so much as traveling with two little ones can be chaotic! highly recommend for anyone wanting a private forest escape! we ourselves can’t wait to bring our family back to this little slice of heaven!"

"The cabin and all amenities were perfect. We enjoyed talking with the owners who happened to be staying nearby. The stay exceeded expectations in every way. Wowona is a great location to access the Yosemite Valley (50 minutes) and lots of fun hikes and activities around the cabin. "

"The cabin itself is really nice inside and the location was very convenient for Yosemite. There were a few problems though. The driveway is quite narrow and has a very tight turn, making it very tricky to park at the cabin regardless of the weather. Next, the paper supplies provided were quite limited. We were a group of 6 staying for 3 nights and ran out of toilet paper. We had to go out and find toilet paper for the rest of our stay. Both the tough driveway and limited paper supplies were written in the info “know before you go,” but this info was provided l literally a day before our departure and put at the bottom of the info. This information needs to be provided to guests up front when booking and not the day before the trip! Also there were ants in the kitchen and the power went out during our trip briefly due to a storm. I called the management phone number to get info on what supplies were provided for a power outage and it sounded like one tiny flashlight was available. Luckily the power came back on shortly after, but I felt like if it had lasted longer, there would not have been enough back up lights available for all of us. Overall, as nice as the cabin itself was, I don’t think we would choose this particular property again."
