We ended our safari in a very high note because we stayed here before we flew from kilimanjaro airport (45mins away). When our tanzania guide drove us to this hotel at the end of our tour (entry/exit hotels were not included in our package) he beamed and sang high praises for this establishment and said we will no doubt enjoy our stay. And he was right. I primarily chose this hotel cause it is airconditioned, decor is modern and it is very used to tourists/foreigners so i had no doubt meals and stay itself will be safe and good. But we walked the entire hotel grounds (had time and inclination) and found they also had a beautiful flower garden, a giant chess board, a 3 hectare coffee farm, a swinging bridge, an in house gift shop (with high quality items), multiple restaurant choices for meals and superb views even from just the 3rd floor where you can see Mt. Meru on a clear day. All the staff too were super nice and it makes me want to go back to arusha just to stay here again.

Extremely modern, clean, and 5* facility. Pool is beautiful but not heated. The staff are beyond friendly and professional. They are clearly well trained in hospitality with everyone greeting guests no matter what. There is an onsite farm that provides all the vegetables and coffee to the hotel. The staff provided a tour ad hoc (I was just walking by and they asked if we wanted a tour). The food is excellent and not bad value. They are doing roadwork right outside the hotel property but you can’t hear anything on the grounds or in the room due to the lush vegetation. Overall, 5/5. Would come back but maybe when it’s a bit warmer.

Great hotel and excellent service

Really nice 5* hotel! The view of Mount Meru from our room was great! Staff were super welcoming and friendly! There is an internal workshop/ gift shop in the grounds (Sanaa) which supports people with disabilites - we got some great hand made souvenirs from here!

The Gran Melia Arusha was the perfect hotel to stay after our safari. The property is beautiful and very quiet (especially for a property surrounded by busy streets. The amenities at the hotel were fantastic and the options for dinning are varied, with the rooftop restaurant having an amazing view.

Wonderful Experience!

We only stayed for one night but had a great experience. The hotel property is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. We had dinner at the rooftop restaurant. The food was delicious and the decor was very nice. I highly recommend this hotel if you're in Arusha.

I loved everything about Gran Melia Arusha. The best thing about the hotel were the incredibly hospitable staff who went above and beyond. I was very saddened to say goodbye to my breakfast staff who were so lovely and good to me.

Beautiful property with amazing views and great vegetation! The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable after our 3 AM arrival at the hotel, we are super grateful! They gave us a tour of the coffee plantation and gardens from where food is sourced to the restaurants! The pool and amenities are amazing as well!

This hotel is a dream-come-true and is top class. Thanks to the fantastic job done by the hotel manager, the service provided is really perfect. The hotel looks like new and is in perfect condition. The view on the gardens and the Mount Meru is fantastic. This view is stunning from the great bar located on the roof top. Delicious food. Very customer-oriented. I will definitely return to this hotel next time I have to travel to the. Arusha region. Simply perfect.
