"Review for The Jefferson Hotel, Richmond
Richmond has always held a special place in my heart as the city I grew up in, and coming back for a visit was a true pleasure. I never had the opportunity to stay at The Jefferson Hotel before, and I’m so glad I finally did.
From the moment I arrived, it felt like stepping back into historic Southern history—elegant, timeless, and warm in a way that only Richmond can offer. The ambiance is a perfect blend of classic luxury and genuine hospitality, a living postcard of the South.
Overall Experience:** Perfection from start to finish. The hotel exudes refinement without feeling stuffy, and it’s easy to see why The Jefferson is a beloved institution in the city.
Food and Breakfast:** The breakfast was superb, with a distinct Southern Virginia touch that felt comforting and refined at the same time. I enjoyed Virginia ham for breakfast, and it truly took me to heaven—rich, savory, and perfectly prepared. The menu felt both fresh and thoughtfully curated.
Staff and Service:** The staff were outstanding, delivering Southern charm with professionalism and warmth. Each interaction felt personalized, attentive, and genuinely friendly.
Rooms and Cleanliness:** The room was immaculate, with classic decor that maintained the hotel’s historic charm while offering modern comforts.
Parking and Accessibility:** Parking was easy and felt secure, which made the entire stay stress-free. The hotel’s central location also made it easy to explore nearby"
"Hotel was clean and looked nice. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast choices are good. Parking is easy. It is located on a busy road so be prepared for some traffic noise. "
"Lovely hotel with beautiful rooms and very helpful staff. Location is convenient for VCU Medical Center and the Capitol.
The in house restaurant is pub style and food quality was excellent. If you want something more formal just across the street is the Tobacco Company (also excellent); something less formal then Chick Fil A (visiting which is a tradition for us whenever we come south) is in the lobby
Minor problems with the room were responded to super quick - within 5 minutes of being reported.
My wife thought the in-room toiletries were excellent."

"My daughter and I were in Richmond for 4 days to visit my son. The apartment was exactly as pictured. It was very clean and comfortable. The hosts were very gracious. Hasan happened to be there when we arrived and helped to unload our luggage! We felt very secure in the house and in the beautiful neighborhood. We were able to walk to the VA Museum of Fine Arts and many restaurants and shops. The beautiful Monument Avenue is just two blocks away. I would definitely recommend this and will stay here again."
