"We booked this home to stay in Artesia while we visited with family. The house is very clean and has everything you would need for your stay. The area is located in the middle of an orchard and the mornings and evenings are very relaxing and peaceful sitting in the screened in porch. Very satisfied with everything available at this home. "Check in was smooth and easy, we had the code the day before sent to us so we were ready to go. All the host asked was for us to let them know when we left. The house was very clean and the furnishings were cute and comfortable. The sheets smelled really clean like they’d just been washed. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Carlsbad Caverns or Guadalupe it was a great location to see both."

Owners had a great coffee area set up, only thing was there were not coffee filters, so we didn't get to take advantages of the coffee. "Fine property but several inconveniences. Upstairs shower is very small, not usable for any adult or teenager, so expect to only have one shower. Additionally main shower head is damaged and has a significant leak out the bottom of the head. No kitchen trash bags or paper towels were provided so we had to go buy some. "We enjoyed the stay immensely at La Cueva! The three bedrooms were perfect for our family of five. It allowed the kids space to spread out and relax after a long drive to Carlsbad, as well as after some long days visiting both Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mtns NPs. The proximity was great for both. The home perfect for preparing meals as well, with everything needed on hand. Thanks for a wonderful stay!"

"Hotel is nice, clean, friendly. I have stayed there several times. Breakfast has been great every time I've stayed. On this visit, the pool and hot tub were down for maintenance, from the looks of things it may be down for a while. The kids were really bummed out about that. If the pool is important, probably best to inquire if it's open or not before booking."
