Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely property - which was a home from home. Never slept in such a comfortable bed whilst away from home!
Kay & Jim were excellent hosts - fast communication and great help/support. Welcome pack gratefully received.
Very comfortable property, extremely clean & well decorated, with all the home comforts you could expect. Extremely well stocked kitchen, utility room was a godsend (given the weather we had - although this did not upset our stay). We could not fault the house, but were sorry not to have been able to make use of the outdoor area/furniture, given the beautiful views.
The village is quaint, enjoyed eating at Village inn and Cu Mara. Missed the Chippy opening hours and didn't make it to the Bothy sadly. Some lovely walks locally too. Petrol station in the village was useful.
Visited Luss - very picturesque and some great places to eat (bistro and Loch Lomond Arms). Also Drovers Inn was good for atmosphere - on the way to Falloch Falls. Loved Oban and took the 2hr wildlife boat trip across to Mull - that was great. Glen Coe was beautiful, enjoyed climbing Ben Nevis - even in the rain, enjoyed Fort William generally and saw Neptune's Staircase. Also took the trip on Jacobite Steam train - very worthwhile. Took a boat trip on Loch Lomond from Balloch, which we enjoyed and was good value. Most trips were recommended in the welcome instructions by Jim & Kay - for which we thank them.
Great property, definitely recommend.
