"This is a charming property full of character, (photos don’t do it justice), in a very tranquil area, if you want peace and quiet this is for you.Car is essential, you can walk into Albufeira but it’s all uphill on the way back!! ( Taxi is easy to come by)Helena is the perfect host met us at the meeting point and showed us around the property.The outside area is lovely, we used the outside grill most evenings, it’s a beautiful setting.Pool was great, not heated but very refreshing.Air conditioning in one bedroom and entrance room kept the cottage nice and cool.Lovely sized bedrooms with ample storage.2 very good sized bathrooms with showers that were always hot.Kitchen had everything you will need to cook inside or out, there is a dishwasher too!!I cannot recommend this property enough.Thankyou Helena for a wonderful stay"

"Super stay in lovely villa with rustic charm. Think an information pack would be useful to have map of area, housekeeping days, how to change gas bottles etc.... incredibly clean and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool was a highlight, getting sun for the majority of the day ."

"I felt I should write a review after reading lots of bad reviews about this hotel, as I had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is very basic and doesn't have air conditioning but I knew this before booking. My room didn't get a lot of sun and the temperature was fine. It is clean and there were cleaners working all the time. There are a lot of steps in it but I didn't have a problem with that, there is an elevator. All the photos the hotel provides are exactly how it is. There is a lovely view from the pool and breakfast area. Breakfast was basic, as expected but enjoyable due to the lovely views. It is in an elevated position above the old town, so I would usually walk to the town, which isn't far and get an uber back, which was €4. The lady at reception was very pleasant. Overall, I knew what I had booked before I arrived and I didn't expect five star facilities at a two star hotel. Also I was travelling on my own and felt safe. "
