"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. "Everything was great, a bit short staffed at breakfast so not much clearing up done and the radiators were on so it was boiling in the breakfast room. Bathrooms have shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, although the conditioner was empty so take your own just in case."

"Some friends and I stayed in the deluxe family room, which was very comfortable and air conditioned, with a mini fridge. The hotel itself was beautiful, the bar very cosy, and the breakfast was excellent. They brought out vegan sausages upon request for my friend. The spa was a big draw. There was just a steam room and pool, which were nice but the pool was quite small and full most of the time, which made actual swimming difficult. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again."

"We had a wonderful stay celebrating our wedding anniversary. Irina who we have always found to be very helpful accommodated us staying in the same room we did when we got married and arranged a complimentary bottle of Prosecco which was a lovely gesture. The hotel was quiet when we stayed (and the weather was hot )so we didn’t venture far but simply enjoyed Sunday lunch (roast) which was delicious and some drinks in the bar area/ outside. All the staff are helpful and friendly and the room was spotless. The hotel is lovely, nice setting and decor. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay and would recommend the hotel and food."

"I was having a difficult day when I arrived but then I was greeted so warmly by Darcy and Gemma, they made me feel so welcome that my day turned around instantly! My room was charming and cozy, comfy bed, nice furnishings and a fantastic large old claw foot bath tub. It felt cozy and luxurious at the same time. The location was excellent for walking, restaurants and access to the train station. The breakfast was also great, with plenty to choose from and table service instead of just buffet as in most hotels. Be aware that it is an old building so you do hear noise from other guests coming and going. Nothing worth complaining about. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend!"
