「We had an absolutely wonderful time here. The Bothy was perfectly decorated and set up for a wonderful stay. The location could not have been better with the ability to walk to the Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle, and to embark upon longer drives and hikes throughout the Dales. 「There are only 3 pods, which protects the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The view is exceptional and a place to truly relax. The pods offer a good standard of living space with a lovely hot shower and a really comfortable bed. The local sheep add an interesting intro to being in the countryside and lovely to watch. The pod is reached by a narrow single track road but this didn’t cause us any difficulties. The location is great for getting most places in the Dales. We will definitely be back. 」

「We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together」

「Super space. Comfortable accommodations. Lovely back garden with a red squirrel visitor and lots of bird song. Great walks from the door with neighbouring Kirkby Stephen easily accessed by foot path or car for shopping. Ample parking space that is easy to access. Quiet. We very much enjoyed our stay」

Interior is a bit outdated but matches the rental fee. Easy contact with host. 「We had a wonderful break at Westbrook House. The cottage worked really well for us and views both from the back and front of the house were stunning. There is plenty to do and walks directly from the house. Farm shops and tearooms and little towns to explore as well as hills to climb are in abundance. There is a local pub a short walk away. We particularly enjoyed the garden and listening to the birds. The house was well equipped and Phil provided all the information we needed for a great stay....

「As ever, heavenly! We spent a lovely 5 days at barn acre. The weather though changeable was excellent and gave us a chance to continue to explore the area. Bolton castle is a must. We were able to return to barn acre knowing that it is a wonderful base. Everything you need for a very comfortable visit. This is our third visit and won’t be our last. We thank the owners for their cosy home from home and their lovely welcome package.」
