Located in the southeast of South America, show-stopping Argentina entices tourists from around the world. From the mountain ranges to the flat grasslands, the glaciers to the cactus-strewn deserts, breathtaking scenery abounds. And when civilization calls, head for bustling Buenos Aires to experience thriving nightlife, culture and entertainment scenes.
As an international hub and the capital city, Buenos Aires is the gateway to the rest of Argentina. Here, find a modern metropolis with a cutting-edge culinary scene and abundant street art. Take a tour of the Cementerio de la Recoleta, a cemetery honoring Argentinian heroes, and visit Plaza de Mayo, the site of frequent protests by local activists.
Head to the province of Mendoza in the west to tour Argentinian wineries, or continue north to La Rioja where you can see the deep red hues of the Tampalaya National Park. If you’re after spectacular coastlines, choose from one of many beaches on the east coast.
Argentina’s territory encompasses numerous natural wonders, from peaks to glaciers to lakes. In the south, the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares features accessible ice fields and the magnificent Glaciar Perito Moreno, a hulking mass of slow-moving ice. Head to the northern tip of the country to view the Argentinian side of Iguazu Falls, a waterfall that marks the border with Brazil. Hike along nature trails that take you to the waterfall and watch for monkeys swinging in the branches above.
Argentina is vast, but the country does have efficient transportation systems to shuttle people from place to place. Fly into Aeropuerto Internacional Ministro Pistarini in Buenos Aires, then use buses and trains to travel throughout the country. Domestic flights are also popular.
Visit Patagonia in the south from December to February for beautiful sunshine and bustling beaches. If you’re planning a vacation from June to August, stick to the north of Argentina for the best weather in the region.
Choose a trip to Argentina to discover stunning coastal views, cosmopolitan cities and impressive glacier parks.
Simply a great hotel for my needs and purpose of my visit. Rooms are very quite and dark. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Location is good with great food options at all levels. Would definitely stay there again.
Basically everything was great. Staff spoke English well, which was very useful for someone with poor command of Spanish such as myself. Room was clean, breakfast was good. What I'm about to say might be alarming, but I DO NOT fault the hotel for this. I think I may have been allergic or sensitive ...
Very well located, walking distance to San Telmo and Puerto Madero. Comfortable, clean, spacious room.
The staff were professional, kind and attentive. The location was excellent. It was a few steps from the best restaurant, plaza and central market. The staff helped with booking reservations for wineries. The room and bathroom were lovely, large and clean
