We absolutely adored our stay here. The staff were so wonderful, there’s someone at the desk all the time and they helped us book an early morning taxi to the airport, and stored our bags when we went to the Colca Canyon. The bed was so comfy, the bathrooms clean, we loved the little patio for coca tea in the morning, and the breakfast was served upstairs on a pretty terrace. We found the walk into the main plaza easy and quick, and 10 minutes. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Great staff, comfortable hotel, excellent location - It was a pure joy to stay here. I thank thew wonderful staff. Just a short walk (albeit uphill) to the amazing historic center
The place is great! Wonderful management, services, and spotless place. People are professional, accomodating, smiling and graceful. We wish we had this lodging experience everywhere we travel! The place by itself is an architectural delight inside and outside, and the generous breakfasts on the patio a must to do. Our bedrooms 8 and 10 were quiet and well isolated.
Thank you for making our stay as memorable and easy. Merci!!

Ed and the other hotel staff were incredibly helpful! We felt very welcome; we had a problem with our departure to Puno, and they helped us in the best way possible! The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and well-maintained. The only two things I would improve are the breakfast and the curtains in the rooms could block out the light better. But I would return and recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in an authentic, very well-maintained, welcoming, and clean place; the breakfast even has a view of the volcanoes.
Great location, wonderful breakfast, friendly staff, and a nice quiet location. Also, very close to many of Arequipa's best attractions. Highly recommend!
One of the most beautiful hotels of our travels. The rooms are spacious, very indivually furnished. The staff speaks english very well and is extremly helpfull. The breakfast room is splendid with a great view of the two volcanos Misti and Chachani. Our undivided recommendation for this house!

Easy stay
A stunning older venue, that in some areas has seen better days. The staff however are amazing and we're so helpful in organising transport, places to go.
Eddy and the staff are absolutely fantastic. They were welcoming and helpful. We would not have enjoyed our time in the city as much as we did without their help.
The hotel is beautiful and quiet and had the best bed we slept in in Peru.
Wow what a find this hotel was. My partner and I absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel is in a beautiful character filled building and our room was spotlessly clean and felt very luxurious.
The breakfast on the rooftop with fabulous views of the mountains and volcanoes each morning was a real highlight.
Our host Eddy was so friendly, welcoming and helpful and we really enjoyed chatting with him and learning about Arequipa.
This was by far the best hotel that we stayed in during our 3 week trip of Peru, Chile and Argentina and we didn’t want to leave.
Highly recommended!!
We were helped very friendly upon arrival. We arrived in Arequipa with the nightbus from Nasca so we went to the hotel hoping to be able to store our luggage until we could check in. The very friendly hotelmanager, Eddy, told us that our room was available already. This was really welcome, we could have a shower after our nightly ride and explore the city al freshened up.
The hotel itself is really nice, beautifully decorated and the rooftop terrace has a nice view on the snowcaps of mount Misti. There is no bar but you are allowed to take your own drinks to the rooftop.
The breakfast is no buffet but was served to our table, eggs, fresh fruit, tea or coffee and the best fresh bread we had in Peru so far.
In general very fair value for money, fairly quiet street, it's a 15 minute walk to the Plaza de Armas.
We were able to leave our luggage for a night when we did a tour through the Colca Canyon and got all the time we needed to reorganise our luggage when we returned.
Eddy and crew, thank you for a very nice stay and all your help!
We got in late, the proprietor said he didn't have food, but would make us a fruit plate. Unfortunately, we had to leave early the next morning to catch our flight to Lima. Great breakfast and excellent service. Felt like we were living in colonial Peru.
We had an excellent stay in this cosy boutique hotel located about 10 minutes walk from the Plaza de Armas. From beginning to end we were treated very well by the manager, Eddy, and all staff, who were friendly and very helpful with restaurant bookings, suggestions and did their outmost to make our four nights stay easy and pleasant.
The room (“The Library”) was comfortable and charming with a good mattress. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with fresh fruit and juice, eggs, bread rolls, jam and butter and of course coffee/tea.
Highly recommended for couples who like to stay in a quiet area but within walking distance from the main sights and good restaurants.
Wow! I cannot say enough about how wonderful my stay at Casa Arequipa was! Eddie, the owner, made my stay in Peru very special. He helped me organize tours, buses, and anything that I needed. He and Alison went above and beyond any customer experience I have ever experienced at a hotel. The rooms are charming and beautiful. The beds are so, so comfortable and breakfast on the rooftop is amazing! The views from the rooftop garden are gorgeous. It is a beautiful hotel that is in a quiet neighborhood only a short walk to the main plaza. I was able to store my luggage while I went our various trips. They have flexible check in and out times based around your travel plans which was super helpful. Often I would get back from a early bus (4AM) and Eddie was ready to get me checked back in and in a comfy room! I'm so grateful to the staff for making my stay such a wonderful experience!
