「Breakfast food for the first day was graciously provided by the owner. Accommodations for our 7 adults family was very spacious. If coming from the US be aware the are switches in the bathroom to active hot water in the showers. We had a hiccup with the hot water supply but the owner was very quick to resolve the issue. The close proximity to town (6 minute drive) provide d restaurants/pubs, food store, pharmacy, gasoline, church, shopping…. I highly recommend this house. 」

「The cottage was lovely, just as advertised. David, the host, met us on arrival. He was so welcoming and friendly. The best part of the day was returning home to the cottage after traveling around. We especially loved that the cottage is on David's farm. The sunrises were beautiful. We will miss the village of Adare and David's puppies who greeted us each day. 」

「Es war ein schöner gut eingerichteter Bungalow. Vor der Haustür war immer Platz um zwei Autos zu parken. Es hat uns an nichts gemangelt und wir hatten mit 7 Personen ausreichend Platz dort. Die Wohnung war auch mit einem Heft ausgestattet, in dem man die Umgebung kennen lernen konnte. 」

「Gillian's apartment was the perfect base for us exploring Cork County, the beautiful Copper Coast and the magnificent Rock of Cashel. Parking is ample and safe, and the apartment was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with EVERYTHING we needed to make our stay comfortable. The kitchen has all you need to make meals (we made our breakfast everyday before hitting the road, and a.couple of dinners too). Thank you Gillian for hosting us. We would definitely return when visiting Cork...

「The Thatched Irish exceded our expectations. If one wants to experience a true rural Irish holiday stay here.David,the host,was most attentive and made us truly welcome.If you are an animal lover you will get a lot of enjoyment because you are staying at a working cattle farm.One will need a car even though Adare is a short drive. Walking by the road is not an option.I have stayed at many VRBO rentals and if the you like historical charm and warmth ,choose the Thatched cottage. 」

「This home was everything we wanted it to be. It was private clean and very comfortable. We felt very much at home and had lots of space. The house has everything you will need for a lively stay including a lovely welcome pack which is appriecated at a long journey. The home has info in the local area and the garden is amazing the children just loved the garden spent hours playing in it didnt want to go out. 「It's a nice little cottage and host/property manager were quite nice as well. We were there 5 days, and enjoyed our stay there a lot. It's a bit far from the sights and from a grocery store (minimum 30 min. drive, IIRC) so plan for that. Also, no wi-fi that we were able to figure out (we just watched stuff we had already downloaded, using an HDMI cable), but there was a television and laundry facilities, so that was great.」

「A quirky and eclectic house, not the for tall of stature. It's a traditional style of Irish country cottage set in a gorgeous Limerick valley. If you like country living and a break from the mundane, this is a good choice. Watch out for the oil heating bill at the end though.」
