"Room was very basic, no air con so it was really stuffy and warm at night.
Breakfast staff were so friendly and lovely and chatty.
Had a brief encounter with the owner, who was really cranky and rude, we then overheard him being really rude with the reception staff - for this reason I wouldn’t stay again. He made us feel really unwelcome."

"Fantastic stay. The hosts were delightful and so helpful. The breakfasts were delicious and you had such a great choice. The house is lovely and in a beautiful spot. Hosts were helpful with suggestions of where to visit. Highly recommend!"
"Excellent service from Joe our host. He sent a WhatsApp message before we arrived to help us find the place. Helped with bags in the morning and was a mine of local knowledge. Also provided an excellent breakfast and a comfortable bed. "
"We had a fantastic family holiday in the Gold Coast Resort. The apartment was modern and clean with everything we could have needed. The staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. The children already want to book for next year. "
"The property was in a perfect place on the beach, quiet and luxurious on the inside. The pool and jaccuzi were a nice addition, both very warm. Great for a family as we had two kids and they had thier own bed. We had a king size. Best sleep in a hotel. Had a nespresso machine for coffee in the room, which is a nice touch. Beautiful walks on the beach in the evenings after a busy day in the city of Cork. About 40 min drive to the airport on a main highway most of the way, 30 from Cork, 20 from Midleton and about 25 to Cobh. Breakfast and dinner was amazing although I would reccomend eating around the other small towns for experience purposes.
Only thing that might be missing is a small convenience store (about 15 min drive)or gift shop and a fridge. I still would reccomend this over hotels in Cork, Cobh and Fota Island.
