Hunters Cabin near Carey, Idaho. Great use for hunting in Unit 49.

10/10 Excellent
"A charming and interesting vintage log cabin in a remote area, 19 miles from Carey down a paved then well-maintained gravel road. No cell or internet access, but all the basic necessities. Our closest neighbors were some mules who gave us a loud welcome. We enjoyed our stay and slept well."

"Room was quaint and bedding clean. Room door security chain had the right end screwed in/attached to an obviously detached door trim board. Effectively no security with that. Of course, you should carry your own protection device (this is Idaho!). Otherwise, points for - sink and shower hot water/pressure was great. Parking space right in front of room. AC worked excellent, had microwave and fridge. Bed was ok. Price was decent. DK is a good deal."

Mackay Guesthouse at Iron Ore Reserve

Mackay Guesthouse at Iron Ore Reserve

10/10 Excellent
"I wish I could give above excellent for description and communication. The host was very clear with the plan and what to expect. She answered all of my questions within minutes, no matter how small, all throughout the holiday weekend. The property was perfect in size and location for our party. It was decorated very cute and had everything we needed. Very spacious! They had information on the area “things to do”, and everything we needed for our stay: even shampoo! There were a very small number of things needed some attention, but definitely normal wear and tear items that the host was very open to feedback about. She even offered a cleaning discount due to miscommunication with the cleaning crew making check in late, but we hadn’t even left our home yet. This place is great! Such a cute place for a nice getaway. We’ll be back for sure!"
