  • Summary:

    Hidden Gem

    The Space:

Escape to this spacious, family- and dog-friendly home, set at the end of a cul-de-sac with a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan. Four seasons of recreation await, with walking trails, nature preserves, Arcadia Dunes and Arcadia Bluffs, kayaking, and golf all beckoning in the warm months. In winter, go cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or get cozy by the gas fireplace in the family room. At home, start the day with coffee in the sunny three-season room. Throughout the home, you'll find traditional furnishings, lots of natural light, and multiple spots to gather. Whip up some breakfast in the full kitchen, then grab a bite together at the window-front table. After a day of adventures, relax in the family room, formal living room, or upstairs loft area. For a family movie night, head down to the lower level, grab a DVD, and fire up the projector. Post the day's pics to social media with the free WiFi, then drift off in any of the three well-appointed bedrooms - another peaceful vacation day awaits tomorrow. The house was a perfect location for an Arcadia golf trip. We did run into an issue and were locked out of the house for a bit. The key pad door to the 3 season room was simple and worked great. There is another door from that room to main house that was as issue. I realize we made the mistake of locking the door, but the handle on the inside worked whether the door was locked or not. We thought it was unlocked. I would think a lock box in the 3 season room would be beneficial as it seems that could easily happen. There was a lock box on the front door but it was inaccessible. When the maintenance guy, Spencer, got access to the lock box, none of the keys worked. I would review both of these situations with the owner. Otherwise a nice place to stay with easy access tot he golf courses!
