Your excursions could take you to the beautiful ochre cliffs of Roussillon, the majestic Mont Ventoux, the Colorado of Provence, the ochre cliffs of Rustrel or the mysterious Sorgue spring. Also worth a detour are the mountain villages of Gordes, Bonnieux, Ménerbes and Lacoste, which you can reach via the beautiful Combe de Lourmarin gorge with the Aigue Brund river and impressive limestone cliffs. This gorge is also the gateway between the northern and southern Luberon and forms the border between the Petit Luberon or Little Luberon to the west and the Grand Luberon or Great Luberon to the east. Take a detour to L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, popularly known as the Venice of Provence, which offers a multitude of outdoor cafés along its canals as well as plenty of junk shops and artisans.
