A little gem if you are the type to enjoy a bed and breakfast with historical charm.
Janna was very kind and helpful to me in accessing resources to inquire about my family history in Apeldoorn. Her staff was lovely, too.
This bnb is full of Victorian flavor- right down to the costumes worn by the employees. The rooms are evocative of the era with the added touch of a gas fireplace in the room. All rooms have a terrace type balcony. Staying 3 nights in early April we were able to use both. While pretty, the bathroom only has a tub type of arrangement and the shower is 100% handheld. The bed seemed to be rather hard. There seemed to be a common area in the past but the library room was filled with tools as there was some work in two back rooms. Some refurbishing is needed throughout, such as worn carpeting in our room and on the stairs ( no elevator). Breakfast is tasty and served in a lovely sun filled front area of the house.
This is not really a hotel. It is more like a guest house. There is no 24 hour reception. You get a text each morning and you have to specify what refresh of supplies you need for the room, e.g. toilet paper etc.
Soundproofing is very poor. We could clearly hear our neighbour using the toilet.
Ein fantastisches Konzept, was man selten findet.
This is a large house converted to a B&B. I enjoyed staying there as it was quite unusual. The room had everything including comfy bed, lovely bed linen, fridge, kettle etc plus a large furnished terrace. Lots of british tv channels. Good private parking in the garden.. Breakfast was served in a lovely dining room and was deliciius and beautifully presented. The location was excellent, a couple of restaurants at the end of the road but only a few hundred metres further is the start of the pedestranised town centre which is packed with bars and restaurants and had a really nice vibe. Would stay here again.
Great location, though an older property well cared for and immaculately clean. Generous breakfast Great attention from staff.

Passionate ownership; really tiny room
Definitely a B&B, not a hotel. An old structure that it appears they are working hard to improve. I did not view any rooms other than the one I stayed in, #4, which was remarkably small. There is a private bathroom- which is (literally!) standing room only. Fortunately I was only one person in the room; could not imagine more than a single in this space. Housekeeping did a very good job cleaning the room each day. The towels were refreshed daily too; but are extremely grey and dingy from wear (supposed to be white). Not that big a deal...they were clean. The friendly staff prepares a personalized, tasty breakfast for you each morning - which is included in the price. I would caution against arriving early as there is absolutely nowhere at all for you to relax while you wait for your room to become available. I would stay here again if there was not anything else decent available in the area; but I would select a different room.
Excellent small hotel with only six indivually decorated old rooms and great breakfast, served at the table according to preferences. We enjoyed singing birds in the garden and two sunny porches at second and third floor. A short walk towards the city center in Apeldoorn we found restaurant La Niche, which we highly recommend for delicious food at reasonable prices.
Echt fantastisch!!
