Welcome to La Maison, a light-filled, stylish 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath waterfront retreat on the South River—just minutes from downtown Annapolis. This modern, chic home features a private pool, expansive deck for outdoor dining, and direct water access with a private dock—perfect for boating, crabbing, and fishing. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful getaway, fun on the water, or lazy days by the pool, La Maison offers the perfect setting. Located at the end of a quiet street, the home comfortably sleeps 8 and features:
• A spacious primary suite with en-suite bathroom and stunning river views
• A second bedroom with queen bed, a large bunk room sleeping 4, and an additional bedroom with a single. All bedrooms have desks.
• An open concept living, dining, and kitchen area that flows onto the oversized deck with a gas grill, fire pit table, and patio heater
• Fully equipped kitchen
• Cozy TV room (streaming only), plus a game room with foosball and board games
• Laundry room with washer and dryer
• Panoramic views of the water that make you feel like you’re floating on a houseboat
Location Highlights:
• 15 minutes (7 miles) to Downtown Annapolis and the U.S. Naval Academy

• Pool is open from early May through the end of September; heated from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Best place ever

Made a short family trip out of needing to attend a wedding in Baltimore but did not expect how wonderful the trip would be just being in this home. Incredibly family friendly and accommodating for our 11, 10 and not even 1 year old. Very clean, close to amenities and attractions. The hosts were so kind, friendly and accommodating with our needs.

Beautiful house and view

All three generations of our family had a wonderful time staying at La Maison. The house is warm and welcoming, and has everything that you need. The view is amazing. We would love to come back next time we are heading to Annapolis.

Great Getaway

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful with great views and convenient location to Annapolis and surrounding areas. Great home base for Annapolis’s visit. So easy to get everywhere

We were in Annapolis for our grandson’s graduation from the Navel Academy. The house worked great for the group of us who traveled from Wyoming. The view, comfortable seating, great table for eating and game playing while watching the River entertainment. Wish we needed to stay there again. All the parking was great, used the Kayaks, and pool, little cool, but our age group was up to it. All bedrooms comfortable. Only a heads up, if we hadn’t arrived during the day, we may have missed the road down to the house. It is marked with red reflector, but Google maps says your there at the top of the drive way and it can confuse people since the house number doesn’t match. Small note.

Beautiful property located in a great spot! There were lots of activities to do at the house to include the pool, kayaks, and lawn games. We would love to stay there again.

Fall Weekend in Maryland

We enjoyed our stay at La Maison. The house was perfect for our two families, The kids loved the bunk bed room! The outdoor area was lovely. Looking forward to a repeat visit in the summer to try out the pool!

An Exquisite Sanctuary on South River

This was the third year we have spent a mid-October long weekend at La Maison with our sons and their friends. It is always lovely--the water, the herons, the light. Also everything you could want, nothing you don't need--bocce, kayaks, fire pit, outside and inside dining for family and guests. Just the loveliest break from the world, yet close to everything you could possibly need.

Sooo relaxing!

What a wonderful week we spent at this beautiful home! It was spacious for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 college-age daughters) and we didn't lack for spaces to gather and play games, or quiet nooks to go off and read. The house is gorgeous and the views are breathtaking - starting my day with coffee on the porch was so delightful! We saw so much wildlife - a great blue heron who visited every morning, a family of ducks, osprey - even a bald eagle! Only wish we could have stayed longer than a week - HIGHLY recommend!!

Fabulous Getaway!

Highest ratings possible for this perfect rental. The home is tucked away at the end of the street making it feel very private with a beautiful waterfront view. The house feels brand new with decor and furnishings right out of a magazine. Owners graciously left a welcome gift of a bottle of wine and brand new toiletries in each bathroom and were extremely accommodating re any requests or questions. This place is a winner, we’ll be back !

Relaxing retreat on the water!

Teachers needed a reset!!! 8 of us elementary teachers needed a long weekend to rest, recharge, reset and relax! This home was exactly what we needed! Even though it was a stormy weekend, it was still perfect for sitting around together, sipping coffee and/or cocktails and watching the water. Had it been a nicer weather weekend, this home literally has everything you need to make it a perfect getaway. Owners were so helpful and kind and easy to communicate with. We are hoping to find another weekend to return to this great little hidden gem!!!

A New Meaning to Excellence

The entire property is beautifully maintained and gorgeously decorated with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay. We have stayed at many VRBOs but this one gives new meaning to the word “excellent”. The house is incredibly clean and absolutely shines! The kitchen has every utensil and appliance you could want from a rice cooker to Nutrabullet to every size casserole dish and a vast selection of pots and pans. The view from the patio is breathtaking. We started each day with coffee on the patio and watched the boats and the large variety of beautiful birds. The bedrooms were large and with excellent closet and storage space. The master bedroom is especially beautiful and has a lovely view of the river. We loved the pool and it was so nice to have kayaks to paddle the South River. The owners went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Hurricane Debbie blew through while we were there and the owners came immediately, without being asked, to clean up the debris in the pool and walkway. It’s a short drive to stores and restaurants as well as an easy drive to the historic downtown and the US Naval Academy. We loved our stay at this amazing property and recommend it highly to anyone visiting Annapolis. Barbara Boatright

A 'Perfect' Tranquil Waterfront Gem

I am almost at a loss to describe how wonderful our experience was staying at The La Maison House. I have booked and stayed at many VRBO homes over the years. And always search to find the right fit, heavily relying on reviews from fellow travelers. Most often, if we are pleased with the overall stay, even if there are some improvements that could be made, I will leave high reviews, out of respect for the efforts of the host, and understanding the importance of reviews to their rentals. I can honestly say that I could not think of anything at this house that was lacking. Our entire experience was simply perfect. The beautiful pictures don't do it justice. The house is furnished and wonderfully appointed with a simple, comfortable elegance that clearly had a top-notch designer input. Not to sound cliché but the Zen is spot on. The décor lends itself to the whole environment of serenity. The pool, grounds, dock and property is incredibly well kept and maintained. It is secluded among the neighbors, and completely private. You feel like you are on an island. Aside from the calming sounds of the water and it's passing vessels, there is an overwhelming peaceful quietude. The hosts are super-responsive and extremely gracious. We actually felt treated as guests of friends. Thank you Gopika for the wonderful stay. We hope to visit again.

So good we stayed an extra week!

I booked Gopika's beautiful waterfront home for a few days to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. The location is incredible - right on the water in a lovely neighborhood. The house is tucked at the end of a small road and feels very private. The windows make the home bright and welcoming. We got to our checkout date and realized we were having such a lovely, relaxing time, we didn't want to leave. So, we texted Gopika to see if we could rent an extra week! Both she and her husband were so helpful and easy to chat with. We booked through the following Saturday and spent another week working from the house. Some of our highlights are below: Property: Tucked away at the end of a quiet street. While there are houses around (nothing too close), we really felt like we were in a private, quiet area. The house is on the water with a back deck, yard, and dock. We spent many mornings and evenings sitting on the back porch, watching boats go by and getting to know the ducks and osprey that would stop by for a visit. We were even lucky enough to see an otter enjoy its dinner on the dock one evening! Bedrooms: We only used the master bedroom, which was very spacious with a walk-in closet and a bathroom. The windows look over the water and there's a comfy chair near them to read a book in. The other bedrooms were in excellent shape and looked just like the pictures online, Running out of room here, so I will just add that we will most certainly be back for another stay!

Fantastic getaway

Top Notch! We were so impressed with this gem of a property minutes from everything, but you feel so private with the beautiful details of the property.! The layout of the house is exceptional and you can walk right out to your own dock on the water and you have your own private pool. The place was so amazing, clean and classy! We even received a nice bottle of wine upon our arrival. I will definitely be rebooking for next year.

Phenomenal!!!!!!

I could go on for hours about all the aspects of this property. Let me say this. If you are staying in the area, stay here!! This place is incredible. The house was clean and spacious. There is a foosball table, and other games provided. A laundry room for your convenience. The house is right on the water with a dock so you can walk right out to the water. We were bummed that we didn't read the description well enough to realize the pool wasn't open yet. Everything you need is only minutes away! The house, the water, the communication with the owners, the hospitality was impeccable. We will definitely stay here again next time we in the area. Our family absolutely loved this property.
