Being about to spend an entire day by a pool and swimming in early September in MN was amazing! The heated pool helped to make swimming in 65-70 degree weather feel very comfortable. Lots of space on the pool deck/patio for our group of 5 adults. Note that the kitchen has limited spices, no olive oil, butter, or Pam spray for cooking, so bring your own!

We really enjoyed our stay, the property manager/owner communicated everything very well, the house is clean and had all the things we hoped for, attention to the details was remarkable.
I agree with some reviews that the location might be a little tight for 9 people. There is some intermittent noise from the pool pump that might not help with sleeping, although the system keeps the pool very clean and pleasant to use.

We had a great time. The pictures list the property accurately and the place was clean and welcoming. Any questions I had the hosted responded immediately. We enjoyed bringing our dogs and they loved chasing the ball in the long backyard. The adults enjoyed sitting under the shade of the gazebo watching the kids play in the pool. I highly recommend.

Very nice, quiet, and clean cabin. We were on a family vacation - infants to grandparents. The listing information was inaccurate about bedrooms - there are only TWO bedrooms (but 5 beds, counting the pull-out sleepers). The lake is beautiful to look at, but it's not for recreational use. No boating; no swimming. The long yard was great for the kids. The area is very quiet and rural, including dirt roads. We made use of the kitchen, outdoor grill and patio. The owner was responsive when we called with questions.

Great location, property was very nice. Unfortunately, heated pool wasn't working and made swimming in a "heated" pool a dare and not to relax. One reason to pick this property was heated pool versus the several properties that had hot-tubs. May seem harsh, but the heated pool was the reason why we selected this listing when compared to others and to not have that made the decision wrong. Would recommend asking manager if pool is working properly before listing.

First, as another reviewer mentioned, there are NOT 5 bedrooms, there are 2, maybe 3 if you loosen the definition. It worked OK for our purposes, but if you need 5 bedrooms, this isn’t the place for you.
That said, we enjoyed our stay. Lots of space and 3 bathrooms, which was nice for our larger party. Much of the house looks recently renovated, interior is generally nice, modern, good window views of the lake and pool. My young nieces and nephews LOVED the pool, it’s not large, but was perfect for them. We actually liked the entire back patio area, well shaded, good for eating, socializing and the aforementioned pool. Not a swimming lake, but lake does provide a nice backdrop to the fun. A huge and open backyard, but also lots of goose poop so we didn’t use it much. The house isn’t far from either Annandale or Maple Lake so accessible to small town grocery stores, restaurants, and even a good brewery. The only other negatives we found were that the refrigerator was dirty upon arrival, the dishwasher is very old with lots of rust in its interior, and there is a large stain on the baseboard near the back door. Owner was responsive to one question we had regarding wifi and we had no problems checking in or out. Would consider staying here again.

Great property. It was cleaned very well. The amenities were good in general, and the lake location is very good with a big backyard. Landlord was responsive to communication and questions.
There were two reasons why I didn't give a higher rating. One is minor, and isn't the main reason, but the "heated" pool in the backyard was not quite "heated" as we had expected. More importantly, the listing said, and still says, that there are 5 bedrooms. I chatted with the owner about this, and he explained how on his end it does not show as 5 bedrooms, but somehow it does on Vrbo.
Regardless of who's fault that is, it created a large inconvenience in our plans as our friends and I had planned accordingly. We made it work, but the owner was not apologetic nor tried to resolve the issue, was more like "oh, not sure why it is this way, but there's 3 bedrooms not 5." Moreover, I told the owner, nicely, that he should contact customer support to fix that since it's quite a big deal when it comes to trip planning for guests. However, I can see that the listing still says 5 bedrooms, which isn't accurate.

House was beautiful and the view out the back windows were fantastic! We had amazing weather and the pool was a great temperature. Perfect for our girls weekend. Similar to other reviews, there are only 2 actual beds so keep that in mind!

Great stay. Property is perfect for a gathering. Only issue was the pool’s propane tank ran out on Saturday morning. The owner was responsive and hopefully will make the situation right, as it’s a main amenity to the property given the non-recreational lake it sits on. Would recommend and stay again!

The views to the lake were nice but it’s not a swimming or boating lake but still clean, well-equipped, private property. Lots of lawn games and fire pit was fantastic, deck was great! Overall, very nice!

Nice place to stay. Lake is not a recreational lake. We booked this place because we wanted to use the lake over the hot week with our kids and it is not that type of lake. It is for your viewing pleasure. Plenty of space. We really liked the covered deck on the back of the house. We felt the place could have been cleaned better inside and out. A simple hosing down of the outside to get rid of dirt, spider webs, etc would have made it look much better. Stove, coffee maker, dishwasher were dirty and smelly, all garbage bins were completely full when we got there. Had to put our trash by the containers outside. Microwave was broken and queen blow up mattress had a huge hole but owner brought new microwave and foam pad to sleep on. Huge open yard was wonderful for our family to play yard games.

I came in a bit skeptical knowing that this was a “newish” VRBO and not having reviews to go off of I hedged my bets and brought everything with me that I thought I might possible need. First impression walking in is what an incredible view, followed by it looks just like the photos on the listing.
I love cooking and and we had a large group and was pleasantly surprised at all the “ extras” available in the kitchen; crock pot, blender, cheese grater, garlic press, cast iron skillet even a Dutch oven. Wouldn’t have needed any of the extra kitchen “stuff” I brought with. Trust me.... leave it behind!
Beds were very comfortable (this was agreed on by all) and the lay out of the house is perfect for a group who may have different sleeping hours as it was very sprawled out so that night owls could enjoy the evening without bothering those who went to bed early.
The house is also great if you might have older folks with who have some mobility issues. All one level, walk in showers, grab bars in the bathroom, ramp at the entrance and very few steps to navigate within the home.
The outdoor area was AMAZING! The wildlife and birds on the property/ lake were so beautiful from the geese to the swans but the highlight was a robin’s nest we could actually watch from the living room with 4 babies who had just hatched. It was so much fun to watch the momma feeding them and I swear the grew so much in the 5 days we were there. While it was difficult to tell what the neighbor situation might be from the photos when we booked...it was great. The houses on either side are set back at different angles so there were only a couple of times that you even noticed that there was anyone else around. There was plenty of outdoor seating, tables etc to enjoy the outdoor area. The only drawback is that the geese do tend to leave a fair amount of poop down by the lake so you do need to make sure to pay attention to where you are walking and I don’t know that I would want to swim in the lake but I’m also kind of fussy about what water I will swim in.
I have rented a VRBO in this area every year for the past 5 years and this would definitely be one I would come back to

Property is generally quite good. Close location to Mpls/St. Paul Metro Area. Quiet lake and relaxing environment. Kids loved the large open green space and adults enjoyed the outdoor seating areas. The spaces inside the home are spacious and do not feel cramped. Host was accommodating and handled the reservation seamlessly. We would consider coming back to this property again.
