「Quiet, remote setting near Hadrian’s Wall and lovely scenic drives. Authentic 17th century coaching inn with lots of historic charm in the common areas. 「地元のパブの2階に4.5室ありB&Bとして部屋を提供していました。 ご夫婦かカップルか、お2人でパブをやっていらっしゃり気さくな良い方々でした。 パブの2階なので、夜に話し声などが聞こえるのは了解の上滞在しましたが、部屋の換気扇が結構な音で動いているからか(止めるとこが見つけられなかった)全く階下の音は聞こえなかったです。 周辺は静かな住宅街で良かったです。 治安も良かったですが、10月下旬は18時には もう真っ暗で、町の中心からは少し離れていますので、それ位の時間には殆ど人通りはありませんでした。 でも、バス利用の女性一人旅でも大丈夫です。 (宿の方は夜からしかいらっしゃらない様で荷物を先に預ける事は出来ませんでした。車でない個人旅行者には辛いとこです) 部屋は清潔ですが、滞在者に様々配慮されたB&B(専門のとこ)と比べると、シャワースペースは かなり狭いし、お湯も2日目は殆ど出なかったし、ドライヤーもありません。 ティーメーカーは汚れていて何度も洗い煮沸してみましたが使えませんでした。それだけは清潔に改善して欲しい点ですが、他は、パブの仕事の傍ら...
