The location and property are absolutely beautiful! Incredible views! The grounds are kept meticulously! The rooms are clean and neat. The rooms are simple and yet elegant at the same time. The staff were very forgiving of my limited Spanish. A little harder to get to but worth the drive. The restaurant on property was excellent. Just a small sidenote… There was no air conditioner in my smaller room. I knew this going into it and the nice breeze that was almost constant.

Stayed 4 nights in the Amatista villa. Beautiful views of the lake and a the volcano. Twice sure our stay after the rains vibrant rainbows would appear across the lake. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent restaurant on site for breakfast and dinner, breakfast was included with our stay. Found it to be very windy on that side of the lake but would definitely recommend for those looking for somewhere a little quieter but still fairly close to attractions.

Beautiful hotel

We were passing through the area staying at the hotel for one night, so sadly we didn’t get to enjoy all it had to offer. The hotel restaurant served wonderful pizza and pasta, the grounds were stunning and the room was comfortable. Thanks for a memorable night!

The grounds and the view are exquisite as well as the staff are excellent, but the cabin bathroom requires repairs, i.e. detached sink and gaps in window seems.

Its absolutely mystical property. The staff were exceptional. So friendnly and caring. The daily breakfast was one of the best i have had. The natural pool was a daily stop for me and my kids. We sat on the outside chairs and enjoyed the amazing breeze and lake arenal views. On a clear night we would watch stars. It was soo relaxing.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this property! All I kept saying to the staff was that the photos and descriptions on the internet didn't do it justice! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, it was like being transported to a magical garden land or something! I loved the property so much that I actually cancelled my full day excursion so I could have more time at the property. Everything is clean, well-taken care of, the food is delicious, and the staff and owner are so friendly and helpful! It's a wonderful place to relax, unwind, enjoy a beautiful view, and truly disconnect! If you have a lot of activities planned in La Fortuna, allow for about an hour to an hour and a half of drive time to get from Hotel Mystica into town.

In spite of the fact that the clouds were low and glimpsing the volcano was limited to a small percentage, the grounds were beautiful with varied plant life laid out well. It was wonderful to begin the day looking out on so much beauty. Every breath was filled with peace and beauty
