Nice rooms in Andernos Les Bains
There are 3 double rooms in a separate annex to the main house - what one would call a "gites". The photos on Expedia don't do it justice as the room was much nicer in reality. It was very clean and the décor and bathroom looked like they had been recently done up. The bed was comfortable and all very spotless. There is a strong fan with a remote control in the room for when it gets hot. When you reach the house it is located behind another house that looks a bit run down which worried me at first but there was no need to worry as the actual property is very pretty and there is a little swimming pool which is an added bonus. We parked our motorbike on the drive of the house. You can walk into the town from the house it takes about 10 mins. The town is charming - typically French, with lovely shops and a nice beach plus you can cycle as it has cycle lanes for miles and is very flat. There was a great market too with loads of clothes for sale. If you like eating oysters this is your town there is a whole bank of oyster shacks near the sea front. The other restaurants in town were reasonably priced (considering the exchange rate) and there is a lot of choice and types of food. The owners were very charming and kind and we hope to return one day.
Pros: The cleanliness and the fact that the rooms were separate from the main house where the owners live. Also the decoration was very French and charming
Cons: A couple of small - things explain wi-fi and also put the breakfast out plus have cereal and fruit.
Location: Andernos les Bains is a great typically French town with a lovely beach and you can cycle for miles on special cycle routes.
