"Greeted at check-in by a very friendly clerk who I surmise was part of the motel's ownership. This was a contrast to our Fort Bragg motel check-in the previous night when the youngish staffer didn't seem to care whether we stayed or not. The Gualala host saw we were staying two nights and moved us to a very nice second floor twin bed room with a magnificent ocean view along with a bag of treats for our dog and a complimentary Modelo. It was quiet even with Highway 1 below, the unaided temperature perfect and the beds comfortably firm. We'll be back. Only complaint was with the electronic amenities, couldn't get the Kerig coffee maker to brew and the TV to play anything but country music."
