The room was just as advertised and it is in a great location! It must be very well insulated—we had a couple of unseasonably hot days and the room was still very comfortable.

close to downtown Ames and about a mile or so from Iowa State Campus. Location was convenient and quiet. Upstairs apartment was clean and well organized with a full size refrigerator, microwave and 4 burner stove. Plates, bowls, silverware, scissors and steak knives were there to make it convenient to cook if I wanted. Susan (the owner) was easy to reach via VRBO app messaging and was always quick to respond. Pleasant experience. Terry

The apartment is in a historic home. It is a beautiful room with bathroom. Water pressure is good, air conditioning is adequate, very well appointed. The mattress was comfortable. We would stay there again. Only downside is some steep stairs to the room is hard on a couple of old people!

Perfect For A Weekend

This is a cozy flat that is just right for two on a weekend getaway. Amenities were adequate. Access to wifi and the Firestick was a plus. Appreciated the older home feel.

I was very impressed by the Host , Susan! She stays on top of everything and she is very efficient and communicating.The place is absolutely Gorgeous! If you like historical and vintage then you will definitely enjoy staying in this neighborhood. This part of ames iowa is definitely a historical attraction and there are plenty of things to do here

Great Ames Spot

I was traveling alone and the studio was exactly what I wanted for my trip. Close to Main Street shops and busses. Check in/out was a breeze. Communication was great. The water pressure in the shower was the BEST! Especially after a hot summer day. The doors can be a little tricky, but I got the hang of it guickly. Loved my stay!

Fantastic Host

My daughter and I needed a place to stay while completing her ISU orientation. Loved the place, close to campus and convenient for a 1-2 day stay. Host was fantastic! I’d be happy to stay there again in the future.

Relaxing Getaway

This was a relaxing and calm get away. We were a 5-7 minute walk from downtown so that was nice. We had all the amenities we needed and we had an allocated place to park.

Highly recommended!

We really loved this place! Stayed for a week visiting family and friends mid-winter. It was clean and cozy, had all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay and so conveniently located! Walking distance to Main Street diners, pubs, restaurants and shops; supermarket, post office, bus stop etc. Plus, host was super attentive and responsive. Will definitely stay there again!
