When we arrived later in the evening we found the only way to the front door was crossing a rickety, rotted out deck with nails sticking up all over. "Best last minute choice we made! Flew in for a convention at RAI and wanted to stay away from the city. It was a perfect 25 minute drive with beautiful scenery as well as so peaceful. The vacation rental was amazing! We have been using VRBO for years and this rental was in the Top 5! It was brand new, on a canal, overlooking the water. Everything you need is close by. "Excellent location for attending the Toppers concert at Johan Cruyff stadium. Excellent bus and train service. Half hour train journey into Amsterdam Centraal. Staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. There didn’t appear to be much around the area but we didn’t explore it as the train stop is right next to the hotel. There is a bar and restaurant at the hotel and the food was decent. We got badly bitten by mosquitoes so make sure you pack repellent !"
