"Asagohan (breakfast) was incredible. The room was really large and the bath was a great way to relax. Stayed here off-season sow was very quiet (very nice). Easy to get to from the airport by bus. 5km walk to some neat restaurants. Car turned out to be a better transport option as the island is spread out and buses could get expensive quickly."

"Great hotel, is clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful, even though our Japanese wasn’t great, their breakfast is great and overall is a great place to stay in Amami. You will definitely need to rent a car where ever you stay in Amami because it makes everything a lot easier to get around the Island. Thank you to all the staff at the Hotel Caretta, we loved Amami and we felt very welcomed."

"まず、気に入らなかった点ではなく、気になった点として記載します。 画像ではわかりにくいですが、建物は古かったです。 それに付随して、付属の設備も古くなってきています。 気になるのは、ユニットバスの隅々にある取れなくなっているであろうカビです。 そして窓も年代を感じますし、外部の音が聞こえやすいです。 不潔なものはありませんが、総評として言えば、神経質な方にはお勧めしません。 老朽化しているので、それなりです。 また近隣で食事処も少ないので、観光案内所等の活用や事前のリサーチやが必須です。 奄美大島自体がそんなに都会ではないので、普通のホテルではないかと感じました。"
