Stylish vacation home with sauna in the fishing village of Altja (Lahemaa National Park)
The Altja Villa vacation home is located in Lahemaa National Park in the old fishing village of Altja—surrounded by forest and just a few minutes’ walk from the Baltic Sea. It’s the perfect place for anyone who enjoys peace and quiet, loves spending time in unspoiled nature, and wants to return to a warm, cozy home in the evenings. A path about 200 meters long leads to private access to the Baltic Sea.
You’ll stay in a converted sauna cabin with its own sauna, shower, and toilet. On the first floor, there’s a living room with a sofa, a large TV, and a fireplace—ideal for relaxing evenings. Internet is available throughout the house. There’s also a porch with a dining table and a large garden where you can especially enjoy the tranquility of the national park.
The kitchen is practically equipped: a small electric stove, a traditional wood-burning stove, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a Jura coffee machine, as well as all necessary utensils and dishes/cutlery.
The bedroom, with a wide double bed, is located on the upper floor and is open to the living area below (there is no separate door to the first floor). Additionally, one more person can sleep on the wide sofa on the first floor—this is best suited for a child.
Marina, the host, lives in the main house about 30 meters away. She is extremely friendly, cheerful, and helpful—always there when you need something, yet pleasantly unobtrusive otherwise. Breakfast is included; you can also order additional delicious meals from her upon request.
The surrounding area is perfect for walks and hikes: forest trails and marked paths start practically right outside the door, the coast is nearby, and the historic village inn in Altja is about 400 meters away. The area is a dream. And so is the little cottage! :)
