    Charming waterfront barndominium located on the beautiful spring-fed Chipola River in Altha, Florida. From its waterfront location to its outdoor amenities and entertainment options, this cabin is perfect for a truly unforgettable vacation experience. Whether you're seeking relaxation, adventure, or a combination of both, this property has it all.

    This adorable barndominium has a full bedroom with a queen size bed and a loft with two twin beds. It sits across from a spring fed creek and has the largest sand bar on the river for your enjoyment! Paddle boards and kayaks are located on property for your use.

    Explore the Florida Caverns, hike the Garden of Eden or Torreya State Park, or tube down the river from Bear Paw, Chipola Outfitters or Blue Springs. Also the worlds most beautiful beaches are located just over an hour away. Visit Mexico Beach, Port St Joe, Apalachicola or Panama City beach while you visit.

    There is no internet or cable, but there are over 100 movies on the property for you to enjoy. Bring a book and relax while you are unplugged from your daily workload and everyday routine.

    The home is elevated, so it will require walking up many steps. Please hold on to the rail and assist children and older adults.

    The property has a highchair, coffee pot, hair dryer, and extra electric blow-up mattress. The house is located on the water, so swim at your own risk—no lifeguard on duty.

We had a wonderful time. The cabin is beautiful and well stocked with all the things you need. The host was great with her communication and always answered promptly. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

I can’t say enough about this place. We fell in love and hope to come back often. Every little thing you could possibly need or want except for groceries, is right here, easy to find and use. This truly represents “vacation”. Life on the river

A truly amazing stay. Saw lots of wildlife on the river, and had a really great time grilling and sipping coffee on on the deck. Would love to stay here again.

This place is a very charming, we had a wonderful time here. Place is very clean and well stocked. Kids will love the loft that has two twin beds and small chairs overlooking living room.

Tranquility on the Chipola

We loved this charming property on the Chipola River. This was a much needed getaway and the riverfront cabin was perfect. Highly recommend!

The barndominium was more than we could have imagined. It had everything we could possibly need. Very warm and welcoming. The location right on the river was so peaceful. Our host was very available. Would love to go again. Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven.

Amazing cottage on the river - literally hanging over the river. Super clean and very well decorated. Bed is extremely comfortable. Awesome place to spend time.

5 Stars!!

Our weekend stay was absolutely perfect! The location on the river couldn’t have been better. We were able to launch our boat and keep it right at the property all weekend, which made going out on the water and returning to the house super convenient. The view was stunning and so relaxing. We only live a few hours away, so this will definitely be a go-to spot for future getaways. Can’t wait to come back!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It was quiet and peaceful, with an amazing view! The pictures of the property don’t do it justice. I plan to visit again. 10 out of 10 recommendation!

Amazing slice of heaven right here. So much privacy. They have the best spot along the Chipola River. The kayaking was wonderful. We enjoyed everything about this lovely cabin. Cooked on the little grill, had a fire in the fire pit and roasted marshmallows for smores. Felt like we were staying at our grandma's house. So many personal family touches in the cabin. Everything in the kitchen you could need. Bring food because there is nothing close. Small grocery in Altha and another in Blountstown. Bed is firm but comfortable. Dawn was a great host and forgiving (because i made a booking mistake). We didnt want to leave and would love to visit again.
