The market town of Alnwick with its castle, Alnwick Gardens, and a wide array of independent shops, galleries and eateries is within just 8 miles. The picture-postcard town of Rothbury sitting at the foot of the Simonside and Lordenshaw Hills, with Cragside Hall on its outskirts, 9 miles away. Wooler is a welcoming market town 11 miles from the property, nestled at the foot of the Cheviot Hills and offering a good selection of shops, pubs, and restaurants. Walkers and cyclists will enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding countryside with its many challenging or less strenuous walks or trails close by, and any stargazers will delight in the dark sky offerings on the doorstep.
