The Byre is a beautifully renovated one bedroom loft apartment set across the first floor of a traditional stone barn building. On entering the property, guests are welcomed into our cosy living room, with comfortable sofa, armchair and footstool - a perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring. Our smart TV has access to services such as Netflix for streaming your favourite TV shows and films.
Our bright and spacious country kitchen features an oven, hob and a dishwasher, along with all necessary amenities for cooking during your stay. There is a dining table for two located in the Kitchen where you can enjoy a meal together, whether you decide to cook something delicious or enjoy a takeaway. We also have a large fridge-freezer and plenty of cupboard space for storing items during your stay.
Along the corridor is our spacious Master Bedroom, with comfortable kingsize bed. There is plenty of storage space for unpacking and hanging clothes during your stay. Our bathroom is accessed from the hallway, next to the bedroom, and features a traditional style bathtub with overhead shower, sink and toilet. Soft robes, towels and luxurious toiletries from Fine Scottish Soaps are provided for all guests. Our bed is made up with fresh, high quality linens.
As The Byre is located on the first floor of a traditional renovated building, there are steep stone stairs leading to the front door for entry and may not be suitable for all. Surrounding The Byre is a quiet courtyard and grassy area which guests are welcome to use. There is off-street parking to the side of the property with plenty of parking space for two cars.
The Byre is located in beautiful Aberdeenshire and is a 10 minute drive from the town of Alford where guests can find supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants and attractions, such as museums and parks. There is a great network of cycling routes, mountain biking trails and walking routes around the property, accessible right from the doorstep. There is a great range of things to do in the areas surrounding The Byre, with beautiful castles, such as Craigievar Castle, a short distance away. Royal Deeside is a short drive from the property, with towns such as Aboyne, Ballater, Braemar and Banchory around 30 minutes away by car.
