"The room was very basic but had all we needed. Overall the experience was excellent due to the ambiance of being in the forest, experiencing the bay, and seeing the spider monkeys. The food was pretty good and staff were nice. I can see where this type of stay might not be for everyone but we are very glad we worked Puerto Barilla into our itinerary."

But mainly, the hotel is on such a busy street and while the noise stopped by 10 p.m. it started up at a little after 5 a.m. There was no way to sleep after that.
