Villa Tommaso Maruggi, Sicily with Jacuzzi and Private Pool

The villa is located on the hill of Alcamo, with a beautiful view of the sea of Castellammare del Golfo, near the Monte Bonifato Nature Reserve (where there is an adventure park and restaurant). The house is in a very quiet area despite being at mt. 700 from Viale Europa (main street of Alcamo) and at mt. 500 from the supermarket, bar, bakery, pharmacy, etc.
The villa is surrounded by a garden of approx. 2. 000 with woods and old trees.

The Villa, renovated in May 2017, consists of a ground floor with a living room with two large sofas (one of which is a sofa bed), kitchen, bathroom with shower, large terrace; the first floor has 2 double bedrooms, 2 bedrooms with two single beds each (for a total of 10 beds) and two bathrooms with hydromassage shower.
All four bedrooms have a view of the green forest and surrounding garden.

The house is furnished with period furniture, equipped with Bose music system, air conditioning, washing machine, dishwasher, kitchen, dishes, oven, fridge, TV, iron and ironing board, deck chairs, tables, chairs and sitting area for outdoor use, slide and swing for children, barbecue and outdoor shower.

Hot water is supplied by a photovoltaic system.

The splendid beach of Alcamo Marina is just km away. 7.
The holiday home is located in a strategic position, a few kilometers from the motorway junction for Trapani, Mazzara del Vallo, Palermo.

It is well connected to the main sites of interest:
ALCAMO MARINA, CASTELLAMMARE DEL GOLFO (for boat and rubber dinghy hire), FARAGLIONI DI SCOPELLO, SAN VITO LO CAPO, ZINGARO RESERVE with its beautiful coves surrounded by nature, sulphurous thermal waters (SEGESTAN THERMAL SPA), SEGESTA and SELINUNTE with their temple, ERICE medieval village, Balestrate, PALERMO, MARSALA, the salt marshes of MOZIA, NATURE RESERVE MONTE BONIFATO (wood with picnic area), in TRAPANI the embarkations for the Egadi islands (Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo)

October Break 2024

We had a lovely stay in Alcamo in October. Villa was large and very well appointed and Saverio the host couldn’t have been more helpful with some lovely gifts of food from his wonderful gardens and great recommendations on places to eat and things to see. Location is good central for most things but a vehicle is needed to reach the restaurants in town. All in all I would highly recommend if you want a real Sicilian experience👍

Wonderful days in Sicily

The house is situated on the outskirts of Alcamo, slightly elevated, so that even on hot days there is a light, pleasant wind and you can see as far as the sea. If it still gets too hot or too cold, the rooms are equipped with air conditioning. The wonderful garden invites you to relax or play frisbee, the large terrace to end the evening. With 3 beautifully equipped bathrooms available, the family was quickly ready in the morning without a fight. Surrounded by locals we enjoyed the time in the beautifully furnished house, close to a bakery and close to a shopping market. It was a successful holiday, also because the landlord was helpful, reserved and very pleasant. We'll come back next time.

Quite family friendly get-away

Great home in quite location just outside town. Can easily stay on-site and enjoy the pool and covered patio or use it as a base for day trips around the area. Clean and well kept.

Endroit magnifique

English version follow Située sur un site enchanteur, la maison est d'une propreté irréprochable. Le propriétaire est très gentil, parle très bien anglais, toujours prêt à nous rendre service et est toujours disponible. Nous sentons qu'il tient à ce que notre séjour soit des plus confortable. À courte distance de Palerme, Erice, Trapani, Segeste et même Sélinunte. Nous en garderons un excellent souvenir. Nous le recommandons sans hésiter. Located on an enchanting site, the house is immaculate. The owner is very friendly, speaks very good English, always ready to help us and is always available. We feel that he wants our stay to be very comfortable. A short distance from Palermo, Erice, Trapani, Segeste and even Selinunte. We will keep an excellent memory ... to recommand highly!

Fabulous sicilian base for family stay - relaxing, delighting, beautiful

We stayed here for 14 days during a big family trip through Sicily. We travelled with our 15 month old and our 4 year old daughter and Savverio's home couldn't have been more perfect for us. The house has everything you could want, is pristine clean, and is a real Italian home. There's heaps for the kids to do around the house and in the gardens (inc. kids toys, a swing, play equipment, 4 or 5 different gardens and a high chair and Saverio even had a temporary fence installed for us at the bottom of the stairs to stop our toddler from climbing them!), Some days we didn't leave the house at all, and just pottered about and cooked while kids played - the kitchen is very well equipped, and the house works really well. The bedrooms are great, air con throughout and internet terrific - also a great Bose bluetooth sound system which we loved. On top of all this Savverio is truly a magnificent host. Genuine, kind, funny, and great with the kids. You can see he genuinely enjoys looking after guests and showing them the best of Sicily. As far as the town of Alcamo, there's not a tonne to see, but it's charm lies in the fact it isn't a tourist town, so you'll actually see a side of Sicilian life that feels real and get great food and non tourist prices. It's also a terrific base - each day we would leap into the car and head off to all the wondrous surroundings of the area. This is definitely a terrific place is you're happy to leap into the car to explore, want a base for a family that feels like a home away from home, and want to relax on the terrace each night watching the night slowly drift away in the distance. The photos don't do the view justice here - really world class views. We had the best time. Savverio is tops. Highly recommended. Thank you so much!!!

Huis Maruggi in Alcamo

We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad. Saverio ie een goede en attente gastheer. De ligging van het huis is mooi en rustig. Het huis is ruim en erg schoon, goede bedden, overal airco. Het uitzicht (zicht op de zee)vanaf het grote terras is prachtig. Het centrum van Alcamo is op loopafstand. Alcamo ligt mooi centraal gelegen ten opzichte van Palermo en andere mooie bezienswaardigheden. Het huis, de omgeving etc. echt de moeite waard!!

One of the best houses we ever rented.

We had the pleasure to stay at this villa for 1 week. 3 adults and a 2 year old chils. The villa was very well equipped and clean. The owner, Saverio was very helpfull and gave us a lot of tips. He made us feel very welcome.

Villa fantastica ed esperienza da ripetere

La villa si trova a poche centinaia di metri dal centro città ma ritagliata in un angolo di paradiso… quando siamo arrivati ci siamo trovati immersi in mezzo alla natura tra un giardino di agrumi, bosco privato e addirittura un ruscello che attraversa la proprietà! Siamo stati molto ben accolti dal proprietario che ci ha consegnato le chiavi della villa oltre che a informarci sulle regole della casa. Inoltre ci ha fornito un opuscolo dove c’era spiegata la storia della villa e tutte le info utili al soggiorno… MOLTO BEN FATTO. La casa è ben arredata e fornita di tutto il necessario, molto pulita e ordinata e soprattutto completa di ogni confort anche tecnologico. Abbiamo anche trovato la biancheria da bagno e da letto che era tra l’altro ancora imballata, per garantire la pulizia. Il proprietario abita nella villa accanto, ma si è in totale riservatezza.. vista anche la posizione più alta. Oltre alla tranquillità, che ne fa da padrona, abbiamo apprezzato le cene nella grande veranda con vista sul mare, e le serate trascorse tra i suoni della natura. La villa si trova in un punto strategico, infatti da li ci siamo spostati facilmente nella vicinissima Alcamo marina e Castellammare del golfo attrezzatissime località balneari e poi nelle fantastiche località di Scopello e San Vito lo Capo. Ringraziamo il proprietario per tutto il supporto, sicuri di ritornare in futuro!

Luogo Incantevole

La location della casa che permette di godere di un panorama mozzafiato è sicuramente il punto di forza della struttura. Riguardo la zona è tutto molto tranquillo ideale per chi vuole rilassarsi e non sentire il rumore della città. Facilmente raggiungibile e a 10 minuti di macchina dal mare/località marittime. Per quanto riguarda la struttura è tenuta molto bene, il sig. Saverio è sempre molto disponibile per qualsiasi evenienza e colgo l'occasione per ringraziarlo nuovamente per la calorosa ospitalità offertami/ci
