On the agenda, beach, fishing, relaxing, puzzles, search for shells and driftwood and enjoy the views. The days we stayed just happened to be great weather and we had the beach all to ourselves. "Go to the Holiday Inn. Our stay was terrible. We paid as much or more than we would pay at the Holiday Inn in Port Lavaca. We decided to just try a new hotel and it was the worst mistake ever . I was so disappointed at the establishment they behaved as they were a poor hotel. The breakfast was old and it was first come first serve they served very little and once they were out, they were out they never replenished it. The same with the bathroom towels when did you use them? You were out we were there for two days and we only received towels for one day once we used the ones provided for one day and we were done we were not allowed to have new towels. It was terrible.!!! "

"The owner greeted us and was so nice and accommodating. The location is fabulous! A perfect place to get to the fishing spots. The people staying there all appeared to be fishing as well- all very nice people. The ice machine was great and close by, and the breakfast, although not much variety, was a good start to the day, especially the coffee. The shower water pressure is the only thing that could be improved for the stay. Everything else was great for a fishing weekend. This is very simple accommodation, but all that is needed for fishing."

"One of the best stays we’ve had an a long time!! The location is amazing to start. The views were incredible, and we spent almost all of our time outside. The private pier was a game changer compared to other areas. Our 14yr old and my husband caught some red fish, black drums, gafftops, and a couple sting rays. We brought our 13 month old too and it was great staying in a place that was kid friendly in the house and he was able to explore and run around outside without us being too worried about what he was getting into. The house itself was very clean and air conditioner worked great. The kitchen had great appliances and everything worked well, the only thing I would say is if you’re planning on cutting any meat/need sharp knives definitely bring some from home. The host was very helpful and was easy to contact in regards to any questions and anything we might need. 10/10 family vacation spot, especially if you have kids that love being outside and enjoy fishing. We’ll definitely be coming back again!!"

"Cons: Pool was dirty, no tools to clean it. Staff was NEVER on site, trash bin by the pavilion was full the whole time. All BBQ grills had broken grates making all of them almost impossible to cook on. Room was clean, if you don’t count the areas where the floor meets the wall, especially around the beds, where the hair, dust, and dead roaches gathered. The beds were like a box of springs with a thin blanket on top, very uncomfortable and outdated. We reserved a room that slept 6 for 2 nights and were provided 4 cheesecloth like towels, 3 washrags and 1.5 rolls of toilet paper, once we ran out of both and needed more, you guessed it! Nobody there to provide more. Only the $300/per night rooms have a kitchen. We had to purchase a hot plate and electric skillet to make our meals. Pros: Good WiFi, cable TV, lots of hot water. "
