The hot tubs didn’t work and no one ever fixed it even though we complained to the property twice and Expedia once. Tried to manage booking several time and no one was even the slightest bit accommodating

The room is too small, too windy outside. Dinning room is ok, has microwave. Bed is soft, room is clean with soap and shampoo, very nice. There is water cooker and refrigerator in room, nice!

Small Hotel in the hills. Make sure you find it in daylight. Hot tub with mountain view. Good breakfast. Good rooms. No front desk, so make sure you check your messages. No room service if you stay multiple nights. Enjoyed our stay here.

One of the best hotels we stayed in Iceland! The room to the balcony was exceptional. The hot tub overlooking the city was amazing! Definitely recommend staying here! Amenities were updated in short don’t think twice about booking here!!

The good and bad. First off, when we got to our room, it smelled like sewage. Then, when we ran water in the sink, it leaked all over the bathroom floor. We tried to find someone on the property, and there was no one around. Then we tried calling, and we only got a message in Icelandic (which we didn't understand. Finally we got ahold of someone through Expedia. This person was trying to be helpful, but it took a couple of hours to finally convince them that it wasn't "just a Sulphur smell" from the nearby geothermal area. At first, they wanted us to wait for the next morning to get a different room. I refused. Finally, we were given a new room, and it was fine. I did appreciate the continued responses, even though it took a while to get a new room. Also, there was a couple from Japan who were given the code to their room, but NOT told to add a # after entering the code. This poor couple was trying to get a hold of someone to help, and again, no one was around, and no one answered the phone. We helped them. There needs to be a person on site to help those that need it. On a good note, the breakfast buffet had quite a few items (not cooked, but cold foods)

We stayed at 11 different places over 2 weeks in Iceland. This was our favorite! The room was gorgeous. They had a bar/lounge, the best breakfast and 2 hot tubs. Chocolates on our pillow were a nice touch, too. The views were amazing and it’s nestled back on a lovely property just across the bridge from Akureyri.

Unas vistas espectaculares, y con posibilidad de disfrutarlas desde el jacuzzi. Comedor grande donde poder leer/trabajar con buenas vistas. Es un sitio relativamente aislado y muy tranquilo. No hay personal, al menos en esta época, pero tampoco se hecha en falta. Desayuno correcto, pero no espectacular.

Hotel is located of the main town area. Not much around, but good place to stay overnight after the long trip. Easy to find, check-in - easy - just enter the supplied by email code into electronic lock :). Room is minimalistic and a bit crampy, but beds were comfortable. There are only several rooms with private entrance and bathrooms (we had one of them). Otherwise not much to say. Good value for the money.

One of the worst stays we’ve ever had in all our travels. The main eating area was dirty,cluttered and had at least 20 flies in the room. The breakfast was sparse, the hot tub jets didn’t work. The room was adequate, however when I called for additional toilet paper I was informed they do not replenish items needed after 3 pm that day. We were so disgusted we left and paid for another hotel.

Pros: The room was pretty nice with a large soft queen sized bed. It was nice to have Netflix to watch a movie and relax. The hot tubs, although we did not use them, they were placed in a beautiful setting. Only hotel so far to provide useful toiletries, bathrobe and slippers. Cons: The shower pressure was quite weak. The breakfast was very basic. I would’ve preferred to have a staff member around to ask questions if needed and although this was mentioned after placing a reservation, I think this should be noted prior to making a booking. It felt like we were staying in “The Shining” hotel since no one was around when we arrived and it was eerily quiet. Overall this was a decent hotel to stay for one night.

The hotel is charming, and the room clean and spacious. The included breakfast was also great. However, coming here during the last week of November, we found the entry stairs to be completely covered over with ice (super dangerous), and I mean THICK ice. I was scared climbing them even with my great hiking boots. And the roads on the way in were snowy. To check in, we had to use a physical phone at reception to call an operator and get the key code to our room. That was easy enough. Check-out was easy too (you just leave by the deadline). If I had to do it over again, I'd stay here during warmer months but in winter months I'd stay in the city itself. The roads/ conditions were too precarious.
