There were many different types of smells, all unpleasant, as you walk into reception, the bathroom, the hallway and your room. "This place is a great discovery. The hosts offer a warm and gracious hospitality. The jazz music they play in the common area is excellent. I love their displays of art and the maps of the local area. The breakfasts were splendid and the host worked to accommodate the dietary needs of one of our group."

"Very nice and cozy place to stay at. The owners are very nice and kind. It was a pleasure to spend the time there. I really enjoyed having a drink with the owner. The place is at the top of a mountain with a beautiful scenery. The place is mostly for ski resort, but I used it to go around the area and visit some local attractions."

"We had the best experience staying at Pension Hobby during our visit to Japan. The owners are very kind and they went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Our room was simple and clean with a modern space heater. Norikura itself is tiny and the number of restaurants is limited. "An excellent property that is conveniently located to public transport. The Nagano station is only a 5-minute walk away. There are numerous places to eat all within a comfortable 15-minute stroll. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were amazing! Rooms are large and very well appointed. Excellent value."
