By the sea at the Ramsgate

Great stay at the Ramsgate! Right on the beach many restaurants staff very helpful and friendly especially the lady looking after the rooms and cleaning was very pleasant.

Pleasant stay with the kids with friendly service from staff.lovely food served up with excellent refreshing drinks. A little noisey but was a friday night but we got our sleep.easy check out and we we're on our way.thanks for the stay

Being a pub hotel, there were issues with noise from the bars (not the nightclub noise) and no guest reserved parking. Reception check-in was unusual, with having to press a very high up the wall intercom and then wait for someone to turn up, in the hallway. Was asked to pay a room bond of Aus$100. No info given about breakfast or other things (like tea/coffee making). Couldn't open windows or balcony door for some fresh sea air

Amazing location but amenities need improving

Really beautiful location, great building and I had a lovely time there. However, all 3 days I used the showers they were out of shower gel - I should have complained but every day assumed they would have been refilled. It also wasn't very clear from the description that the bathrooms were shared. Coffee mugs were dirty and apart from water the amenities weren't great. I was lucky I'm a heavy sleeper as on the Friday night I could hear every word of the songs in the bar below. There was a warning about noise but it was worse than anticipated (especially as Friday was the most expensive night).

There were no towels provided in the room, and no-one could be contacted in the morning to assist, so we couldn't shower. My phone charger was left behind, which was my error, however upon inquiring I was told it was not found in the room, which was clearly incorrect. When I first phoned to discuss, I was told someone would phone me back the following day, which they didn't, and when I again phoned the next day there was no attempt made to rectify these problems, instead I was made to feel like it was my fault that I hadn't noticed the missing towels until morning, and that I was lying about the phone charger. All up, a very poor experience.
