Amazing location and unique stay

Road is a bit bumpy to get there but wow well worth it if your looking for piece and unique experience. The food was nice but a little over priced i thought for such small amount of food. Otherwise amazing. Driving on the main road i saw just as many animals on the Addo land as what i did driving around it for 3 hours. Wish i'd stayed another day.

Prachtige lodge

De weg er naar toe is een zgn dirtroad maar toch echt ook heel goed te doen. Ik las in andere recencies dat de weg een probleem is maar dat is echt overdreven. Joanthan en zijn personeel doen hun uiterste best om het naar je zin te maken, geen moeite is teveel. Prijs kwaliteit is top. Een wandeling in de tuin is aan te raden, maar je kan makkelijk uren lopen en een beetje gevoel voor richting is makkelijk. Ik zal mijn vrienden deze plek aanraden.

God seng, fine rom og god mat

Vi hadde 1 overnatting her. Nydelig utsikt rett ut i "bushen". Veien til overnattingen er en såkalt "dirt road" og blir ekstrem glatt ved nedbør (obs!). Fine rom, får den gode african-feeling, men litt skuffet over renholdet. Dusjveggene var skitne og putetrekket hadde maskaraflekker. Angående putetrekket så kom de med nytt, dusjen kommenterte vi ikke på. Vi ble servert en nydelig 4 retters middag til en billig penge.

No electricity in the mud hut...

It was a nice place in the middle of the bushes, had it been 2-3 stars, I wouldn't have complained. We were there with our parents and stayed in the mud hut. There were very few pics of the mud huts and there was no electricity nor wifi in the room! And our parents were shocked.. also the walk from the huts to the main building is relatively far (10 min walk?) I hope the hotel could be a bit better at pointing out the real condition of the rooms, which isn't really in the pictures and the rooms are definitely not 4 stars...

Lindo lugar

Tivemos que esperar bastante tempo no check in devido a um provável erro do Hotéis.com. Por sorte, havia um quarto disponível mesmo sem ter a reserva confirmada. O staff foi muito gentil a todo tempo. O quarto era muito bom mas poderia ter um frigobar. Tivemos que "emprestar" um espaço na geladeira do Hotel. Jantamos no local. A comida era ótima mas a quantidade por pessoa era muito pequena. O lugar é lindo! A decoração tbm. Os funcionários são muito simpáticos.

Se informe sobre todos os detalhes do quarto.

Muito cuidado com os novos complexos do hotel. Não sabia nem que existiam, só fiquei sabendo na hora. Agora o hotel possui um novo complexo que não está finalizado, não tem acesso de carro nem iluminação ao redor. E os quartos não possuem energia elétrica. Além de ser bem longe da casa principal onde fica o restaurante.

Traumunterkunft Nähe Nationalpark

Eine etwas längere Anreise "off the road" nach dem Besuch des Addo Nationalparks, die sich aber lohnt. Großzügig dimensioniertes Haupthaus, stilvoll eingerichtet. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, indidividuell gestaltet, ebenso geschmackvoll mit Liebe zum Detail.

Ganske spesielt, verdt å prøve!!

Vi slet litt med å finne fram, den siste delen av veien var litt utfordrende på kvelden, men det var absoøutt verdt anstrengelsen. Stedet har en spesiell sjarme for de som søker noe annerledes. Meget hyggelig vertskap og betjening.

Det bedste ophold i Syd Afrika

Fantastisk ophold ude midt i den dejligste natur, selvom vi havde lidt dårligt vejr, formåede Jonathan og co. at gøre det til en vidunderlig oplevelse for os. Her er det muligt at se alle stjernerne på nattehimlen uden baggrundslys.

Einsam gelegene Lodge mit toller Atmosphere

Wer die Ruhe sucht ist hier genau richtig! Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und toll bewirtet. Für die 200 Rand, die das Dinner kostet bekommt man ein 3-Gänge-Menü, welches den Preis wert ist. Die Lodge ist nur über eine Staubstraße zu erreichen also besser einen SUV oder Jeep bei der Mietwagenfirma nehmen.

Einsame Lodge unter dem Sternenhimmel

Wir hatten ein tolles Lastminute-Angebot, sehr schönes Zimmer, tolles Bad, wunderbares Ambiente. Der Name der Lodge täuscht, sie liegt 45 Minuten Fahrtzeit vom Addo Elephant Park entfernt, Sonnenuntergang beachten! Die Gastleute waren sehr hilfsbereit, dennoch hätten wir uns eine günstigere Alternative zum teuren Dinner gewünscht. Vielleicht würden dann auch mehr Gäste kommen. Wir waren mit 2 weiteren Leuten die einzigen Gäste in der einsamen Lodge.

That scenery!

Manager Jonathan is very friendly. Hotel is located in amazing location, however unless you're driving a 4x4/SUV, you should arrive from the east via Paterson, and either way you should do the drive in the day. The building is beautiful and the rooms are nicely decorated. The only reason I gave the comfort 4/5 was because the pillows were way too big for me and bent my neck too much. As the owner continues to develop the hotel to include zebra and other animals on the premises it will truly be an amazing gem of a small hotel.

Family of five exploring Western and Eastern Cape

We were on a family trip planning on visiting Addo elephant park. Too late to get any lodging in the park, we picked this. Possibly a little bit too far from the park and maybe not a four-star hotel, but still it was worth it to see something other of SA than CT and Garden Route. Also the hotel manager and his staff was very friendly and helpful. Arriving late makes (after darkness) make you question whether you are on the right road ... Also drive carefully - we met both one bok and a cow on the wrong side of the fence. The views around the place is stunning! We went out to morning jog whereof on the mornings we did uphill. If you have the time - do that (or walk up and see the view)!

A place to relax

a beautiful and original house. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The way to Addo Palace, a bit difficult, especially if it rained also too far from Addo Elephant Park. However, we were greeted by Jonathan a friendly, helpful and all around the perfect host. Excellent breakfast as well as dinner.
