"Very happy with Icon. Entrance and access were convenient and easy, location very good, with bus stops within a 2-3 minute walk, the Lido/Cassarate area only 12-15 minute walk, and downtown only a 20-minute or so walk. The building was modern, and accommodation was very nice. Murphy bed very comfy, good kitchen and a very good bathroom with a rain showerhead. Nothing but nice things to say...we really loved it! "

Often when you rent a place, upon arrival you discover that the photos were taken at a misleading angle, or that something about the place is not really as nice as it was spelled out to be. "Park Hotel is an ideal affordable location on Lake Como, just a 5 minute walk from Abbadia Lariana train station. So, great if you don’t have a car. Minimal shops near by and only 1 restaurant. Needed to go to Lecco for a supermarket, but that’s easy on a train. We weren’t aware that the electronic Do Not Disturb button was faulty until day 3, hence why our room was not being cleaned. One male concierge was graciously helpful to sort this out, but on the 2nd occasion in providing clean linen/emptying the bins but the the female concierge wasn’t. Nor did she make note of the broken bathroom lock, when informed. We had a lakeside room which was a great view, however the room gets the afternoon sun. Despite the glass thickness and heavy duty curtains, the air conditioner in the room cannot cool the room. I did request it be checked which the concierge did take note of, but nil success in it working efficiently. Suitable location/hotel if travelling as a solo female."

"This hotel is in a central location on Lake Como and within walking distance to many restaurants, the ferry, the funicular and other attractions. The “continental” breakfast was actually a huge breakfast buffet with pastries, eggs, bacon, sausages, fruit, mimosas, coffee, deli meats, granola and juices…all delicious! Rooms are updated and very clean. My only complaint is concerning the flat, hard pillows but I also did not ask for a replacement which I should have done."

"Incredible views of the lake! Located a little further from the hustle and bustle of the town which provided us the tranquil, peaceful environment we prefer. But still close enough that we could just walk nearby to enjoy the shops, restaurants and people watching when we're in the mood. The whole property is clean and meticulously maintained. The staff were some of the nicest, most welcoming and helpful I've ever encountered. We stayed in the Tower Suite, highly recommend for its incredible views alone but everything was great. Suite was clean, bed was comfortable, recently renovated with a modern aesthetic. Amenities we enjoyed: free shuttle to and from the ferry (great if you have a lot of luggage), delicious free breakfast daily, and spa access with steam, sauna, ice and salt rooms (highly relaxing). Would stay here again without question!"

"INCREDIBLE!!!! I cannot say enough good things about our 5 night stay here. Every detail was spot on. It’s a 10 min walk from the train station and an easy 15-20 min walk into town and the ferry terminal so incredibly convenient. Bellano was a darling town and we are so glad we stayed here instead of the more popular towns. Our room had a balcony on the side of the building and it provided total privacy and an outstanding lake view. The daily breakfast was 10/10 and plentiful. They welcomed us with a cold glass of prosecco on the terrace looking at the beautiful view while they did our check in paperwork. Every staff member was so outstanding and helpful with suggestions on where to eat and what to see. The bed was so comfy and nice pillows, linens and bath products. They have a little bar and having a drink on the terrace while waiting for our train was a perfect way to end our time in Bellano. We will be dreaming of this place for years!!!"
