"The Phoenix Hotel is beautiful and luxurious, with an open, airy feel and Asian art all over the place. Our room was nice, with a small deck overlooking the pool--though the hotel grounds are so extensive that it took a while to get there from the entry. The A/C and shower in our room worked well, but there was a problem with the shower pipes that created a loud noise and required periodically...

Our room was lovely, the pools are well kept, the food is safe and tasty and we appreciated that they provided safe drinking water. We got up to take photos of the sunrising over Borabadur and it was an amazing experience. We were picked up from our villa and there was hot coffee and snacks for us while the sun came up.
