「Located very close to the beach. Room is comfortable. Car park is a bit small and the road leading to the hotel is a bit narrow due to cars parked in the road. The small snooker table has been moved since our last visit making it difficult to get your cue past the walls in places. We love the atmosphere of this place. The food is really nice. Happy to return again. 」

「We stayed at the Ropemaker for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and its restaurant. We had a lovely king-size bed that was very comfortable. The room had a portable air conditioning unit that kept it very cool, which we appreciated. However, it is noisy at night. The outdoor bar area is super cute and has little cabanas that seat about 4 guests. We'll definitely stay here again.」

「We had a fantastic stay, including our dog, she enjoyed all the facilities and high level care given to us all. Never have we stayed anywhere so dog friendly but still had high standards. Staff were friendly, attentive and food was good. We had spa treatments which were excellent and enjoyed the spa facilities too. The wonderful walks around the Goodwood estate. Our only criticism was breakfast on the last day of our stay, it was much quieter after a very busy bank holiday but food wasn’t so...

「Was welcomed by Akash prior to check in to help make my stay more comfortable. While walking in, was greeted well by all the staff members and check in was smooth and comfy. Staff were kind and attentive making a nice presence in the hotel. Breakfast banquet was filling and dinner was full of flavour. The Chicken Thai Green curry and duck dish was amazing. Room was spacious and clean and the views were great! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would love to come back again! 」

「A very warm, accommodating welcome, staff were delightful. Rooms were so comfy and well equipped, provisions for our four legged friends were also provided. Food was slightly on the slow side but delicious when it came. Breakfast was included in our stay. Free parking. Free wifi. Totally recommend.」

「My friend and I were looking for a base to explore the historic towns, houses and gardens of this area, and struck lucky with this hotel. We were impressed by the pleasantly relaxed atmosphere, the quality of the food, the variety of dining and bar areas and the comfortable, well-maintained and quiet rooms (no audible traffic noise).
