"The location of this property enjoyed a privileged location overlooking the castle. However it was disappointing to enter the property through quite a shabby doorway from the Main Street. The property Was spread over 3 floors, which were linked by a very narrow spiral staircase. This was not made clear in the advert and would not suit elderly or disabled people. We took the property as it was dog friendly, quite the reverse, our dog is quite old and could not manage the very narrow staircase, so...

"Excellent stylish quiet hide away in Northumberland, very well presented and cosy. Hob works well and the combo oven is extremely effective for cooking small meals when necessary! (Do not underestimate it on appearances!! :D)"

"Really enjoyed our stay in Alnmouth at Hallsteads, Pope Lodge . The decor and furnishings are very smart. There is a lovely seating area outside too. The accommodation is very central for all Alnmouth has to offer. Just a couple of things to note: there is no shampoo and shower gel. The ‘instruction’ manual is tatty and needs updating to reflect what the owner expects visitors to do with recycling. Some hints and local knowledge on what tourist attractions, walks etc, the area has to offer...
