「Beautiful rooms and area. Lovely and quiet. One note to mention, the beach across the road is not the crystal blue waters as the sand is dark. It’s also a busy area for fishing so we didn’t swim. There’s some nice restaurants within walking distance and a great grocery store. 」

The drive from Liberia airport was a long one, but totally worth it to drive into the little village of Montezuma and into the jungle paradise of Ylang Ylang. Our room was right on the ocean. Going to sleep with the crash of the ocean waves outside our door. Beaches - mostly empty save the hermit crabs and occasional local dog. Staff - outstanding. Bed - comfortable. We were supposed to be there for two nights they checked us in and they said it's too dangerous to take our car up to the hotel because it's so steep and I guess something with the bricks. So he put us in a little car and took us halfway. We got on the elevator. Took the elevator up I think to get off at the restaurant. Walk through the restaurant and over a slippery little bridge. Then we took another elevator up to our room. So of course...
