"Very well set up in close proximity to Flinders Ranges on historical working station with self-contained cabins, information/reception, caravan park, woolshed restaurant, shop, excursions - 4WD, helicopter, aeroplane and trekking and walks. "I have stayed there 2 times before the room was fined dirty cups in the cupboard there were seeds from a lemon or orange on the bench so hadn't been cleaned very well the shower curtains need replacing bed was comfortable the TV didnt work at all and no internet connection available "

Local of 30 years corrected our misguided perception of Coober Pedy after reading statistics from Red Suburbs site about the “violent crime” in the town. Statistics are totally misleading and relate to an isolated incident that happened in late 2023 from visiting Alice Springs mob who made their way to Coober Pedy for a funeral. "Only issue was the door rattles in the wind, but a bag up against it and was fixed. Just needs a bit of the felt sticky surround put on the door jam. Clean, tidy, quiet, good value. I'll be back. "
