"A bit overpriced for what feels a bit like an upmarket motel rather than a hotel. Rooms, service, breakfast all excellent - would have been excellent all round at about $100/night less than what we paid."

"This property although it was very old suited our purpose for our stay, we just needed a clean bed and somewhere to shower. Where it is situated is right on a lighted intersection and trucks and other traffic had to stop or start off again. After a few nights we became somewhat acclimatised to the noise which was very loud most mornings and evenings. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. "

"Reasonably priced and very central. Good breakfast, but extortionately priced by student standards ($12 I think). I couldn’t afford it so brought some small groceries from the supermarket. Staff were friendly, but a bit checked out. Could definitely use a deep cleaning as they smell like a locker room. Bathrooms were reasonably clean. "

"Great value, nice hotel with lots of facilities near-by. Secure parking with access to accommodation and the street without going through hotel. Quiet for pub style acc. with little noise from pub, street or train line. Great food at reasonable prices. Room was cozy with opening windows, heater, fan, extra blankets, TV, wardrobe, tea/coffee kettle and ensuite bathroom. Comfy bed however may be short if your 6' plus."

"The common areas are dated (especially the main eating hall), the common carpets are dated and most things are a bit worn. It’s pretty basic. "

"Booked the motel when the UTA trail run was still happening and it was literally the only room in/near Katoomba available. Decided to still spend the weekend after the event was cancelled. The Motel is pretty dire. Ultimately you get what you pay for at $85 a night. It’s situated right between the train line and highway so is super noisy. No staff on site so check in is automated - which is fine except it reeks of a place that can be rented by the hour. And it also actually reeks...damp smell,...
